Dollar General — Local services in Clarksville

This is our newest DG in town, there are 2 more within a 10 mile radius as well that I frequent and know the managers name and took treats to store employees when they had to work thanksgiving. But I tried this newest location and of course we all know the DG scheme of how you can’t see the prices popping up nor the discounts on your side of the screen so obviously I take photos of all the discounts Posted on the shelf so I can show the cashier because inevitably nothing ever comes up on the price! This particular day the customer knew I was right, but she still wanted to go look at the sale price on the shelf😲, She got back she cocked her arm on her hip as if she was pissed off because I was right she offered no apology Nor any words to me whatsoever! She brought the manager with her to fix the register after I paid and hit the button that said my price was correct, I did not hear the receipt print nor did I guess I take the receipt fast enough for the employee as she popped off to me finally saying something but in the rudest voice ever, your receipt is down below you can it there. Oh my, the manager was only a few feet away and said nothing to correct her tone! I stated after walking past the manager ‘that’s the rudest employee I’ve ever met do far’! The manager didn’t even stop me and asked me to explain or say anything! Well, I won’t be back! I hope this one closes down! Very poor customer service to not show the pricing I put up with it for years just tired of it! I don’t mind paying a few dollars more. Bought some cold medicine last night for the grand babies. I had just left a restaurant after buying supper. All the cash I had left was a 20 dollar bill and two ones. I paid the almost ten dollars I owed for the cold medicine with the twenty Got back only change when I asked about the rest of my change. I was told I only gave them a ten. I know how much cash I had left after supper, because I had checked my wallet before I went in..It may have been a honest mistake. But I was out the extra ten dollars, as there was no way to prove it. Just be careful what cash you give them. and watch what change...

Brand new store, clean, neat, organized & most importantly it’s been well stocked every time I’ve went in there & I have been a # of times as I live very close by there & they have friendly staff-my only complaint is their prices are not that cheap but that’s the chain as a whole, not that store in particular- if you clip digital coupons & take advantage of the Saturday $5 off coupon, you can really score some major savings.
