Hidden Creek Golf Club — Local services in Clarksville

We spent a few days down in Sellersburg, IN and wanted to get a round of golf in. Found this course on Google Maps and decided to set up a tee time. First off the customer service is top notch! From the minute she answered the phone she was very friendly and wasted no time setting up my tee time. Arrived at the course about 15 minutes early and went straight to the club house. Checked in and again very friendly and fun to talk with. Excellent customer service. The club house is very well stocked and easy to get around in. Directly out front of the club house is a multi level driving range and and some putting greens. Carts are all in good shape and were lined up and ready to go even that early in the morning. I was directed to the first tee which is located just to the left front of the club house. From the first tee to many of the next holes on the course the elevation changes and undulating fairways is nothing short of impressive. This course can seem intimidating but I would recommend it to any level of golfer. The fairways are not real wide but even if you miss on the majority of the holes you will will be safe. The rough is definitely not where you want to be but you should be able to recover nicely. The greens and the fairways were all in really great shape. The tee boxes were a little on the furry side but still in good condition. Water does come into play on a number of the holes as well. The bunkers were in good condition and seemed to be filled with decent sand. Some of the holes slope from left to right and can make it a bit challenging off the tee so you do have to try to place a few of your shots. The cart paths are paved throughout the course and are in great condition as well. They also have the yardage painted on the cart paths! Something I have not seen before but very useful!. really can't say enough about this course except that it is a must play when in the area. First and last time we will be coming here. Can't say again bad about the greens, it was a lovely, well maintained course. Unfortunately, the man managing the start of the course was extremely unwelcoming and set a bad precedent for the club. My husband and I were hoping for a relaxing afternoon of golf when on my second swing we were stopped and told to pick up the pace. Apparently, it was unseemly behavior for me to be hitting from the men's tees. So much so the misogynist man had to cart down the hill to inform my husband that I needed to be hitting from the women's tees. I can safely say I disregarded his request and played from the men's tees as I have done at every other golf course without issue…and somehow never held up any other golfers on the course. Great value here. Probably the best bang for your buck around southern Indiana. Lay out is fun as could be. Nice range, nice chipping and putting greens. However, I’m knocking 2 stars off for 2 reasons…. First, no water on the course at all. Only at the clubhouse. It’s been 90+ degrees for the last 2 weeks. Putting a few water coolers throughout the course is doing the bare minimum and they can’t even do that. Second reason for knocking a start off is their tee time scheduling. 7-8 minutes between tee times is just asking for it to get super backed up. I get it… maximize profit, but it really takes away from the experience when you’re constantly waiting or constantly getting run up on from the group behind you.
