CEFCO Travel Center — Local services in Claude

Usually this would be filled with praise for any Cefco. Mainly based on pricing for fuel and options for foods at any time. Today not only I was insulted, but so was my coworker.

First a coworker and myself had stopped in to grab a drink and immediately were followed by a staff member. Stink-eye from the start. After we grabbed some sweets to figure out if it was something we wanted, it was put back and we moved on. Shortly after this staff member decided to question us using profanity about the whereabouts of the items we touched. When he was asked if it was us he was asking he then cursed and stated he would check the cameras. Nothing else occurred after he did.

I can't base my thoughts on his appearance because he was covered in ink, and as I am too, I can't be hypocritical about that. Did I mention we both were wearing work branded clothes and logos

We stopped here after being on the road for 7 hours. It looks like a really nice place from the outside. It looks new so we figured it had to be clean and nice inside. Boy were we wrong. The mens restrooms were totally distinguishing. I walked in with my 5 year old son and immediately walked out. My wife and my three girls had it even worse. Out of the three stalls in the women's room one was out of toilet paper and the others were absolutely disgusting. My wife went to tell the clerks at the checkout counter and the second she said bathroom both clerks yelled back to her, WE KNOW WE KNOW! If they know why are the restrooms still nasty? Also there wasn't anyone at the checkout counter. They were talking to each other. DON'T STOP HERE!!! there are more and better options in Clarendon 26 minutes...

Store is tidy and clean. Clerks are quick, and knowledgeable about the store and their positions.Usually not over populated so you can shop comfortably.I have never felt stalked or rushed. The showers are clean and disinfected in-between each user. The laundry is in good condition and everything works. Occasional fountain machine outages but handled efficiently. Always plenty of stock and regularly rotated.Prices are a tad bit on the higher side but not ridiculous like a lot of truck stomps. They work the trucks and customers together but in an efficient manner. Restrooms are clean and well maintained as is the parking areas.The restaurant is very well kept.Overall Cefco is setting the bar on what all truck stops should be accommodating and accomplishing.
