Sparkle Market — Local services in Clay District

I give Sparkle Market of New Cumberland 3 out of 5 stars✨For a quick trip for only a few items, it's convenient for town residents, and others in our geographical area...but its prices on most items are 👎too high👎 For serious grocery shopping, my family & I go elsewhere like Kroger's. Incidentally, neither of these is as awesome as PUBLIX grocery stores in South Florida; my husband and I have lived in both🌴Miami and Ft. Lauderdale🌴 How we miss PUBLIX! But I digress.👍The best aspect of Sparkle in WV is its family-friendly ambiance as well as its sweet, wholesome, meaningful community tradition of having local elementary school students decorate cardboard🎄Xmas trees🎄that are then hung in a festive display above the aisles in the store. It's always a fun and special memory to look for and then happily find your kids' Xmas trees...my children are now in high school, but the sight of the uniquely-decorated Xmas trees is still enjoyable around the holidays😊 Sparkle is okay, but not as good as top-notch Giant Eagle, which had previously been in this location for many years. I have so many things to say about the staff of this grocery store. I was at the deli trying to get some Mac n cheese. I was appalled, absolutely terrified at what I had seen. The man child taking my order was first of all, so so rude and ignored me at first, THEN he looked up and I saw his devilish piercings and as he was putting my Mac n cheese into the cup ive seen the most inappropriate things for a work environment Ive ever seen. this boy had a PENTAGRAM tattoo YES LIKE THE SATANIC WORSHIP SYMBOL. As a local to New Cumberland and a devout Christian in the churches I know how important Christianity is to our community and to have a man working in our community in a popular setting with these heinous, and sinful body modifications is absolutely embarrassing. Then I take a look over to the bakery department while waiting for the boy to pack my Mac n cheese. I see a black haired woman vaping in the corner. Im not sure about everyone but I do not want vape nicotine in my strawberry pound cake. I come to this establishment to support local West Virginia businesses. NOT TO BE DRUGGED BY VAPES AND CARCINOGENS AND PERSUADED INTO THE DEVILS...

I should give a 1 for my recent experience but I will give a 2 because other than this, I have not had a problem there. I ordered a 50 piece chicken for my nieces baby shower for 7/19. I went to pick up the chicken 30 minutes before the party and there wasn't any. I was informed that it was dated for the week prior and they tried to call me when I did not show to pick up my order. The girl at the deli showed me the paper and my phone number was even written wrong. The girl did offer to give me what chicken they did have remaining at the deli for a discounted price, which wouldn't have been enough and who knows how long it sat under the heat lights. I decided to opt out of that offer and found a last minute alternative solution. I will never order anything for a party there again. I can't put into words how upset I was at the moment and the poor girl at the deli had to deal with the attitude due to someone else's mistake. I tried hard to be kind to her because I knew it was not her fault but when you are that upset it is hard to not let it show. She did try to remedy the situation and was...
