turns out there’s more than just spuds 🥔 in Idaho 😉 this was my first time backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains, and I already can’t wait to go back! add this hike to your bucket list ASAP: 📍Tin Cup Hiker 🥾20.6 mile loop 📈3169 ft elevation Tin Cup Hiker is an amazing trail through the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. from craggy peaks to numerous alpine lakes, the trail leads you through dense forests, over creeks, near waterfalls and through open meadows. you’ll be in awe at nearly every turn. we split this up into a 3 day, 2 night trip. we hiked the loop clockwise, camping the first night at Twin Lakes and the second night at Toxaway Lake. the best time to visit this trail is June through October. you do not need an advance permit to hike here. however, you will need to fill out a wilderness permit once you are on the trail. the permits are located on the trail, about a mile into the hike. tag someone you’d like to hike/backpack here with! 🏕 #sawtoothmountains #visitidaho #backpacking #hikersofinstagram #alltrails #beautifuldestinations #exploreidaho #idahome #stanleyidaho #shewhowanders #hikeidaho

Beautiful mountain range! Still snow atop in July and being from East Texas, that's a BIG thing to see! :)

Must checkout Redfish Lake and Stanley Lake! Great hiking trails everywhere and even primitive hot springs in the area with views that are a must...
