Stopped by today for the first time and was immediately greeted and offered samples of cherries. As I walked around the fruit stand I was approached by someone with a knife in his hand. Yep, this could have been bad and even though he had 20 years on me he looked like he was an ex-collegiate football player and probably a farmer his whole life. I wouldn’t have stood a chance. As I looked at how to do an end run to the left with a fake bob to the right out the canvas front I noticed he had a juicy fresh peach in his hand and he offered me a slice. Funny, the two items I stopped for were cherries and peaches. Extremely nice folks, excellent produce and other items like local honey, jams, jelly’s and syrups. Hard to get to eastbound on I-90 compared to Thorps, but well worth the effort - watch the exits carefully and use Navigation Aids to prevent long turnaround trips. Easy to get to off the highway, the red tent is visible from the road & exit. You don't see this kind of stand very often, with realistic prices and seasonal variety, and for those of us seeking a genuine and family friendly local produce...
Read moreI love stopping by Red Sky when I'm on my way to or from Ellensburg for some wine tasting and local honey! The wine is local and really good! We also love their honey and buy it in bulk all summer to last through the winter. Their fruit is excellent and very reasonably priced, so we often pick up a box of apples or something. Last year they also had herb and veggie starts for I think $2.50 each, so we buy those when they have them. They always have very helpful and friendly staff members to answer...
