I wish 4.5 stars was an option. Let me start by saying our wedding was both beautiful and well executed. Ashley (owner) handled everything on the day of seemingly without a hiccup. In terms of quality of work, her vendors (catering, photography, bakery, florist, venue and coffee cart) all treated us with care and professionalism. My only criticism of the event planning was her communication and my feeling of being left out of the whole process. It was never super clear to me what to expect. We booked our event and discussed our desires for the wedding nine months in advance, we were given a quote for the base package and received an invoice, created a Pinterest board which was shared, chose a venue and menu, and that was about it. Ashley’s preferred method of communication was via email and her replies took anywhere from 1-3 business days. I realize now that our package may not have included as much one-on-one coordination or attention as maybe a larger event, but it would’ve saved me the confusion had I been told in detail how she would proceed with the planning. As it turned out, three weeks before the wedding was when we received a “vision board” from the designer and a timeline for our wedding. Fortunately for us, we asked enough questions leading up to the wedding that some of the areas we were not on the same page about were resolved in time or else we may not have had any dancing. To be specific about some miscommunications: my husbands name was misspelled on our welcome sign -much to our embarrassment- and we found out three weeks before the wedding that the only restroom for our guests would be a literal outhouse, flower arrangements were pretty but I was never shown an actual example, nor was I shown an example of the cake / baked goods. I was so surprised and relieved on the day of the wedding that things were both pretty & at least close to the design we had been given. Although I can’t say she ever made an effort to get to know us as a couple, she was very pleasant throughout the day. Ashley stayed late and helped when needed; clearly dedicated to her work on the day of our event. Despite my many worries we had an amazing wedding which is why she deserves a positive review. I am a very thrifty gal and when I first began planning my wedding the idea of hiring a coordinator, even just for the day-of, seemed too extravagant. We were on a tight budget, and I knew that if the person we hired wasn't the right fit it could possibly even add stress to the day. One conversation with Ashley assuaged all of my doubts. She was so warm, so easy to talk to, and so committed to making that day exactly what WE wanted it to be. Even though we only hired her for day-of coordination, she was available for months ahead of time to trouble-shoot and help connect us with resources. I can only imagine how amazing it would have been to have hired her to plan the whole thing! She was flexible and patient with me when it took me long periods of time to get back to her, and she continually promised me that on the wedding day,she would take the reigns and neither I nor my family would have anything to worry about beyond enjoying ourselves. Boy, did she deliver on that promise. Beginning from the rehearsal the evening before the wedding, Ashley made it clear that she would be the point person for everything moving forward. She tied up loose ends, dealt with difficult family dynamics, and put out little fires throughout the day, all with a relaxed, positive attitude. The chorus from my family throughout the day and for weeks following was, "Thank goodness for Ashley". If you are considering hiring her, DO IT. We hired Ashley as our day-of-wedding coordinator, which meant that we were doing all the planning, and Ashley was a resource for answering questions, helping think through to-do-lists, and completely running the show on the day-of. Organization: Throughout the planning process we relayed information, plans, decor ideas, etc. to Ashley through her Gather Leavenworth Google docs system which was thorough and easy-to-use. Towards the end, all that information was compiled by Ashley to create detailed timelines, layouts, and vendor contact lists for the day. Execution: Ashley drove out from Leavenworth to Seattle once to do some venue orientation/layout work/meet us and a second time for the wedding. She ran the rehearsal the night before and collected all the decorations that would be needed the next day. From the rehearsal onward, any and all questions/comments/concerns went to Ashley, instead of to me or my (then fiance, now husband). That was awesome! The wedding day was amazing! Ashley helped shepherd family for photography time, she coordinated with the band for breaks and toasts, she facilitated marriage license signing, she transitioned the appetizer table to desserts, and the gifts table to the guest favors. She worked with the bartenders and servers to help everything get set up and stay stocked throughout the night.
