The course is now called Flagstone and the staff is very welcoming. I was visiting from out of town and the owner took the time to reach out to a female golfer to see if she was available to play with me. She was and we had a great time! The course was in excellent condition. The challenge of the course includes (1) Tall grass on the edge of the fairways. (2) The greens were fast and you really had to know the breaks - lucky for me I played with someone with course knowledge otherwise I could see approach shots rolling off the green if you didn't know the slope. The other unique thing - there are no bunkers. They clearly used to be bunkers but they are all filling in with grass. Also, water is really not an issue on this course. There is some water but I would not say it is in play for most golfers (playing the forward tees). There is a creek on the side of #1 and #10 but you really have to hit your driver really off line for it to be an impact (you are more likely to lose your ball in the tall grass). It's a fun course and I recommend you play it if you are...

Walked in to the clubhouse and was greeted nicely until they realized I wasn't part of the highschool tournament happening that morning. Asked a few questions about a website or a calendar of events so I would know when the course was closed and they said that they sometimes post something on the wall and they don't bother with the interwebs. They reluctantly answered my questions about their hours and event times and seemed pretty irritated that I was there, gently ushering me out the door saying "Come back and try again another time". I'm going to say probably not. I heard there is a nice course a little further away up north. A little bit of consideration goes...
Read moreBeautiful golf course. It is a challenging golf course that has more than 4 teeing spots for a different golf course anytime it is played. The fairways are "sanded" making it easier on the wrists, etc. than hitting solid Tennessee clay surfaces. Except for the golfers with no resoect for the course or the work that goes into a green... I saw evidence of people driving their carts across the greens. The greens were big and well maintained. Well priced 18 holes. Ball washers were present here. God sent as they are disappearing from other courses. "Golfers like...
