Went there visiting from Texas. I've been to lots of gaming stores in my time, and I can say Warzone Matrix has the most extensive inventory of any game store I've been to by far. Unfortunately, I didn't end up buying anything because when we opened the door, we saw piles and piles of inventory everywhere- no front desk or people visible, so we assumed we had gotten the wrong entrance or figured that they were unpacking. My wife called out "are y'all open?" and a man called out from behind a pile "The door opened, didn't it?" That was the only thing he said to us our entire visit, outside of directing me to the bathroom when I asked. He seemed disinterested and almost irritated by our presence. The store consists of several rooms, and the lights were off in the room I had to navigate through to reach the bathroom- I thought I had gone into a storage room by mistake because there was stuff piled to the ceiling and the lights were off. The clerk wasn't rude, but he made me feel like I would annoy him with any questions I asked. Maybe I just came in on a bad day, I don't know. We ended up leaving without buying anything. Incredible selection, but it was dusty and irresponsibly cramped. I was both impressed and disappointed. It's absolutely worth going to if you have a specific, niche thing you're looking for, and it's great if you want to spend a long time browsing, but it's not a...
Read moreThe selection is gargantuan and spans from almost every era of every game you can name and some that I'd never heard of. The main portion of the store is fairly organized and easy to navigate and find what you need. The back room, which the previous reviewer mentioned, is a bit of a piled menagerie. However, this is the sorting area and I must stress that it is not the main sale area. Personally, as a faithful nerd, this place is akin to stumbling into a cave piled to the ceilings with gold, jewels, and +5 Boots of Orc Smashing. The owner is very knowledgeable of the genre and has always been very helpful every time I've gone in. There is literally something going on there every night and he stays open a lot later for that reason. As far as the marked up prices go, that's just the way it works for these small independent businesses nowadays. I usually stay exclusively local and I may pay more for it, but you will never get the same environment or sense of service that you do at the big chains. All in all the place is a wonderland of scattered handmade creations and gaming treasures and I'll proudly be a patron for as long as...
Read moreBeautiful disaster, a diamond in the rough if you will....If you're looking for New Old stock this is the place. Kind of in a sketchy neighborhood but if you can get past that you should be able to find something special that was exactly what you were looking for. Shop owner though he was a bit quiet and kept himself was relatively helpful and friendly and the shop dog, Jack Sparrow was sweet and friendly as well. The only reason I don't give this place five stars is that I had to do a bit of work to find what I wanted but in the end I did find what I wanted so I might give you that star back I just hope you folks still have that 2nd Edition Angels Of Death book the next time I'm in the area. Prices were reasonable however I had two very specific things I wanted (a pack of Devastator Marines and a 4th Edition Tyranids Codex). I would have snagged that retro book as well but a Dark Angels Funko Pop caught my eye and I collect those as well. Like I said before a diamond in the rough and if you're willing to put forth the effort you can find exactly what you were...
