I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRS321SDHW08 from Lowe's in mid April 2022. Immediately I began having issues. Initially the issue was a waterline leak. Also the door seams cracked or came unglued. Later the next few days I began noticing 3 x a day it would have approximately one hour long defrost cycles when it would turn its self completely off. Food in the freezer would begin thawing and show moisture and frost on it after this cycle. I called Lowe's but was told that because I didn't pay for the extra extended warranty, I had to call the manufacturer. Each time I called they made notes and a couple times they sent a tech out, but he didn't understand the issue. He said he was not familiar with the problem. This was a $1600 refrigerator after tax and I'm so upset and frustrated at the lack of accountability and integrity in business practices now a days. Why can't anyone give me answers? I understand energy efficiency means "different", but the lack of customer service interest and knowledge or concern just appalled me. Some reps didn't care and wouldn't do anything. Others sent a tech over and he didn't know what to do. He called the tech line, but the rep sounded like he didn't understand and dismissed my issue as normal. Now I'm left with a product that cost $1600 that thaws and refreezes my food and experiences HUGE TEMPERATURE fluctuations that are inconsistent and even Whirlpool doesn't know what to say. On several occasions I called Whirlpool to report that 3 x a day the refrigerator goes off for approximately an hour. It climbs almost 20 degrees in the freezer before it comes back on slowly. During this time I leave all doors closed. As it slowly comes back on, it continues to climb in temperature to as high as 23 degrees. My food gets frost on it when this happens and cardboard boxes of TV dinners are damp. Is this right? Should food begin thawing then refreezing 3 x a day? Is this healthy? Even the refrigerator fluctuates between 26 and 42 degrees and at times it freezes my food. I'm careful not to block any air vents. Carrots even froze in water in my refrigerator once, and my husband was sick to his stomach one day. Was it from food thawing and refreezing? No one seems to know what to do, and the last Whirlpool rep I spoke with was rude and dismissed my concern. I'm very upset with Whirlpool. Customer service knows nothing and won't let me speak to technical help. I need answers. Is this the way it's supposed to run?

10K worth of appliances in a new home and 1 year and 3 weeks after moving in their defective products are not honored. In the year since I moved in, I have had to have a noisy refrigerator repaired, a smart dishwasher leaking onto my hardwood because of a defective hose, and a smart double convection oven which basically doesn't scan but a handful of barcodes. Now I have a microwave that is not supposed to be able to put the tones into silent mode, which magically now is in silent mode and they can't even tell me how to get get it out of silent mode and won't warranty ir because it is 2 weeks out of warranty. DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL!

Extremely disappointed in the customer service I received today. I purchased a brand new gas range from Lowes, not a dent and scratch place, in June of this year. One of the burner lip/caps is peeling. I am being told this is not covered as it is cosmetic and if I want my range to look “pretty” I would have to purchase the part. I want my gas range that I paid over $1800 for to look like a new product that I just purchased and I should not have to pay for a part that is damaged a month and half from purchase. This is a manufacturing issue with a product being made poorly, not cosmetic!!!

I have never actually left a bad review before. I tend to prefer giving a rave review for something. At restaurants I like to ask to speak with the manager when our waiter goes above and beyond instead of making a complaint about something. I have called corporate offices of companies like Target and Barnes and Noble to talk about some of the wonderful employees I have been helped by, to make sure those companies appreciate and recognize those employees. HOWEVER, I am frustrated enough to make an exception. Not quite 6 months ago our washing machine went out. We ended up spending $1,097.80 for the Whirpool Smart 2 in1 Removable Agitator model WTW8127LW on sale. More than we wanted to spend on a washing machine, but we needed something in stock- with a family of 5, including one 2 year old who seems to produce dirty laundry like nothing else, I am constantly doing laundry and could not afford to be without a washer. I have to say the negative reviews were right- the washer is INCREDIBLY loud. Like, you can hear it through most of the house loud. And it was a bit touchy. Sheets caused it to unbalance easily. One time it jumped around so much it unplugged itself from the wall. But at least it worked. Then over Thanksgiving break, our not even 6 month old washing machine stopped working. Since it was over 1 month old Lowe's told us we had to go through Whirpool. Obviously, the machine is under warranty, but it turns out that warranty is only for repair. We had a service technician out Monday of last week for the 1st service call. A part was needed, and he could not make it back out until yesterday, at which point we had been without a washing machine for about 2.5 weeks. Can we say piles, no- mountains of laundry accumulating?!? Yesterday made our 2nd service call, and we still do not have a working washing machine, even though he was here for about 2.5 hours and practically took the whole machine apart. He also was not really sure what is wrong with the machine. Now another part is being ordered, and the next available service call is for December 27th- yeap, 2 more weeks from now. Multiple calls to Whirpool have gotten me nowhere. I have been told repeatedly that they are sorry but there is nothing else that can be done. Warranty is to repair. No one has been able to tell me how many service calls we have to go through before we can get a refund or a new machine. I have, at present, 21 loads of dirty laundry that need to be run. It seems ridiculous to me that a machine at that price would stop working in less than 6 months- and even more ridiculous that my husband will have to go shopping for a new washing machine tomorrow just to hold us over until this one can be fixed because we just cannot continue without a working washing machine (and since I have severe allergies, we cannot risk taking our laundry to a laundromat with traces of other people's detergent or fabric softener in the machines). Talk about a poor product and a very frustrating company to try and work with. I sure wish when our dryer went out a few months after the washing machine that we had bought anything other than another Whirlpool appliance. Please tell anyone looking for a new washing machine that they should look to...

Let me share about how Whirlpool/ Maytag destroy our Thanksgiving Holiday!! We ordered a Range/stove and an over the range microwave/ Maytag brand from them on November 1,23 so we could receive items before the Holiday. Right now, we can't even express our level of frustration, disappointment, sadness, Stress, ruin of the Holiday, destruction of our property and now our lack of faith in American made products. Let me explain. We decided to buy from Whirlpool since we wanted to support our American made products. Delivery was scheduled for Nov. 8, however this got messed up and after several calls and struggles eventually got it re-scheduled for Nov. 13. They claim the items were delivered on 11.8.23 and order completed. Of course we were charged for the entire products, however NEVER received any of the items. On 11.13.23 the items arrived but Range/ stove was looking quite worn and used/like not new, and of course after installation, the same Range was found defective, and NOT working. The installers also damage our cupboards, just to install the Over the range microwave. ( See pictures of damages.) Of course we contacted Whirlpool and was told that we would have to wait until after the Thanksgiving Holiday to get a replacement Range. Now mind you, this was ordered from 11.1.23; we have family visiting for the Holiday, and now no working Range /stove. Thanks you Whirlpool.😞Way to "NOT improve" our lives.( Change your slogan, please.) One would think that since this is all their fault, sending us a defective product, etc. that this would be rectified immediately, at least expedite the replacement product, but alas we feel just penalized instead and told we have to wait until after Thanksgiving to receive any replacement. Since Whirlpool already made their money, took payment from us, and because Whirlpool/ Maytag is Not the one suffering. They have no inconveniences what-so-ever, and clearly customer satisfaction and service is not their Priority. Plus they got paid for the products. We asked several times on several calls for the call to be escalated and was told that is not necessary, since our dilemma does not warrant an escalation. Go figure! Our suffering and stress, stress continues.đŸ˜«đŸ˜Ź Well, they did initiate some paperwork for destruction of property, namely our cabinets/cupboards,(pending documentations); but what can fix the fact that our Thanksgiving Holiday is practically ruined, since we have nothing to prepare our foods/meals. Can't even express our level of frustration, disappointment, sadness, mental Stress, ruin of the Holiday, pain & stress and now our shattered faith in American made products. Do you think we would recommend, No, no, no, no way!! The sad part is if we order from another Company now, we would not get until way after Thanksgiving. So yes, Whirlpool ruined our Holiday.!!😭 Whirlpool has shattered our faith and trust in American-made products, mainly appliances. Stay tuned. One more thing about Whirlpool, they only post 4+5 stars reviews on their Website-All other honest, fair reviews, like ours are NOT posted. Go figure! You can't expect good reviews for bad products...
