Alleghany Memorial Park — Local services in Clifton Forge

My review is for Casey Stover, manager of Alleghany Memorial Park. I want to thank her for her kindness, knowledge and compassion before, during and after my mother, Nancy Watkins, passing on May 9, 2025. She was so considerate and took her time making sure everything would be right and up to the standards that my mother and our family would have wanted and expected for her funeral. She walked the grounds where mom was to be buried with my sister and I. She also walked to where we have other family members buried per my request to address grass overgrowth obstructing some family members markers on the lower section of the park. Casey said she would address it with ground keepers and make sure the markers would be visable from here on out. She also addressed my questions on future planned burials and has kept me informed and answered my questions to my satisfaction. She even made a follow up phone call after my mother's funeral to make sure we were satisfied and I was very pleased by that. Since it was raining heavily during my mother's funeral, Casey arranged to hold the graveside service up on the hill in the newer section of the park mausoleum. That was very thoughtful and appreciated. I did address the road entering the park and the road going up to the upper newer section mausoleum. I discussed the need to have the whole lower section of the park and hill leading to the newer section completely repaved as it is not a smooth ride for the procession or just to visit due to the large numerous pot holes. Asthetically this needs to be done instead of paving the pot holes only. Also, the lower section of the park puddles in certain areas on heavy rain and should be addressed. Casey was aware of this and has brought it up to the new park owners and confident that my concerns will be addressed. I gave a 5 star review for Casey Stover on how she went above and beyond for meeting my expectations and I am grateful for her high integrety as she represents our loved ones who have passed on at Alleghany Memorial Park. Once Upon a Time, I gave a bad review for Alleghany Memorial Park. I battled another Manager, who told me things would be done and improve. That Manager from 2015 isn't there anymore. So much has improved and I no longer worry. I Promised my Daddy I'd take care of Him, even in death and I meant every ounce of that. Casey is absolutely WONDERFUL and if my Daddy were able to tell Her anything, He'd say "Thank You Little Lady!". Alleghany Memorial has come a long way! I Appreciate all of the hard workers who keep my Daddy and Grandparents resting places looking good! They even took the time in a work order to raise my Daddy's grave for Him. Casey, at Allegheny Memorial Park was so helpful in helping me locate my Mother's burial site. I have lived out of the state of VA. for over 30 years and haven't had the opportunity to return until this weekend. I called the office on Thursday morning and explained my situation to, Casey and within 15 mins, I received an email with a map with directions to my Mom's site and was told there were orange flags marking the exact location.
