Lanning's Foods — Local services in Clinton Township

Lanning's is a local grocery store that's been around for a long time. It's small and unpretentious and has a lot of local, seasonal foods. You can get great deals on things like onions, apples, and chicken leg quarters. Their dairy is what I usually stop for - local, high quality milk, butter, cottage cheese and sour cream. The quality of the meat, which is what they are known for, is usually quite good. They also have a decent, small wine selection. Seasonally, you can get great prices on things like peaches and squash, and sometimes in late summer they have the small but wonderful prune plums. They have a huge selection of Walnut Creek products (very local, very good). The staff are always friendly and helpful. I'd much rather support them than a national chain, and although I can't usually get everything here, the prices and quality make it well worth...

I haven't been here for quite some time and I will NOT be back due to the customer service when checking out. Purchased produce and meat. Meat Dept had friendly service. We went to check out and the 2 woman in the center checkouts were more interested in there conversation between each other than even an acknowledgement we was there. I might as well have been at Walmart checking myself out. People tend to forget we have the choice where to spend our money so you might want to pay attention to that customer that's in your store spending there money that helps you have that " job" that you clearly are not doing. Hope management might give a friendly reminder on what costumer service is and how to treat those customers in there...

Worked here over 20 years ago and still to this day love Lannings. Best meat selection and quality…the produce is always good. I can’t wait for peach season because they always get the best peaches! One of our favorite things about Lannings is there LUNCH- you can’t beat what they offer hot and ready for lunch. OH! And their wine and drinks selection has insanely improved over the years! Now we don’t have to drive to centerburg’s hometown market!
