My family has been involved with Camp Carr since we were small children. We have seen the facility improve over and over. We love that it still has a rustic feel to it, but is only a few miles away from modern conveniences. (Groceries and such) I was there last week and discussed reservations later in the season as fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year to camp there. Camp Carr is a simple small campground situated along side the Raritan River. It is best for campers or trailer camping. Sites are a bit rocky as they are directly on the the banks of the Raritan River and when the water gets high it can deposit it's stones on the sites. Read moreAs a camper at this camp for many years, I plan on not returning. Staff have been getting more and more care-free about their jobs, most of the time on their phones not doing activities with the kids. As well as pool staff making it seem they own that pool space. Bathrooms have seen better days, mostly dirty bathrooms filled with bugs and even kids being stung by bees in the bathroom. Specialty Camps are not at this camp anymore and busing was 86'ed, which was great for many parents. Overall, the camp has cheeped out over the years and it shows.
