You have to check out the Dusty Daisy if you are at Truman Lake and need fishing gear!!! This is a class act establishment that seems friendly to all which is something you don’t always get in that area. Besides a large selection of kitsch and collectibles, vintage finds and antiques (my wife had a ball in there) there is a fishing booth in the back that is loaded with great stuff at great prices. Why give billionaire Walmart your money when you can get a fun outfit of a used rod and an expertly reconditioned reel for $10-$15 bucks? A more swank set up costs $20-$30. You can outfit the kids and yourself with good old gear with real guts in it for less than a Grant. And be giving your hard earned dollars to a local hardworking entrepreneur. This is all good fishing equipment, no rods with missing guides, f’d up reel seats or broken tips. No jammed reels, broken bales or uneven level winds (can you tell I pick a lot of my fishing stuff?). This dude (I think his name is Steve) fixes stuff as part of his biz. And he has hooks and lures out the wazoo all well priced. I was down there to interview some LBAA lady bass fishers and Kathy and I were poking around for fun. I am so glad we drifted in to this shop. The Dusty Daisy Trading Co. is definitely worth a stop.

Nice assortment of items. Friendly staff. Dropped in to purchase fresh ground horseradish, looks tasty. Bring cash or a checkbook to avoid a three dollar fee for using a card. Plenty of signs posted to ensure customers know there’s a fee for using a card.

Such a cool stop!!!! They have great vendors. Lots to choose from..new and old. Something for everyone! Even an onsite guy Steve that fixes fishing poles and has a ton of tackle!
