Reclaimed Mt. Goods — Local services in Clovis

I recently found out about Reclaimed Mt. Goods on Instagram and when I found out they shipped to Southern CA, I took a chance and bought a beautifully maintained, reasonably priced, true mid-century modern dresser from them—not ever having seen it in person! This was my first time purchasing something via Instagram so I was nervous about being swindled (I wasn’t!) or accidentally paying the wrong person (I didn’t!) From the beginning, my interactions with the owner were very friendly and my anxiety about purchasing online, sight unseen, was calmed by her transparency. She immediately followed up with additional photos of the dresser, the minor cosmetic damage on it, and explained the purchasing process. She was also very honest about pricing, correcting me when I added up my purchase incorrectly. Her shipping rates to Southern CA are also extremely reasonable, even for an item as large as a dresser! Speaking of shipping, the process ended up being very smooth. It did take a while, but currently all furniture is very delayed in delivery due to the pandemic so I can’t complain. If I could be very picky, the only thing I’d ask for is a little bit more communication about the delivery process and timing. I hate to leave this review, but I just want to inform others about the lack of communication. I had a furniture in my cart and wanted to make sure that delivery was possible to the Bay Area. I was on the phone talking to the owner. She was very nice and friendly and guaranteed that delivery can be arranged. Right after our phone call, I was in the process of paying online, but suddenly the loveseat was sold out. I totally understand that another person probably bought the vintage furniture. I messaged the owner asking what happened, but I did not get a reply at all. I would have appreciated it if they were transparent and just let me know what happened, especially after our phone call when the owner was thanking me for supporting a small, Filipino owned business. Reclaimed Mt. Goods is the most wonderful hidden gem in the foothill community. I have made many purchases with them and anticipate many more. Being able to browse online AND visit a store front, physically feeling the pieces, is such a treat. Lijah, store owner, has the most warm heart. She is prompt with communication. Her willingness to work WITH you to find a special piece is rare and you will never feel pressured to buy.
