I took my boat to Mike after getting it out of storage for an oil change and water pump change. After getting it tuned up I took it out on the river and after about 20 seconds at WOT the engine overheat warning sensor came on. Mike put another water pump in and off I went. Got on water and same thing happened. Back to Mike. Took motor back apart and cleaned thermostat. Back on the water and same thing happened. Back to Mike. After looking it over again and calling some of his colleagues he got his answer. Someone messed with my boat and switched my intake covers around which was deflecting water at high speeds. Mike spent all day making sure my boat was ready for the season and didn't charge me any extra for his time. THANK YOU MIKE FOR A JOB WELL DONE!...

I called Mike when my normal shop couldn't get my boat in for a while due to it being the end of the season and having other jobs that came in before mine. Mike talked to my shop, figured out what the overall repair plan was (I hit a submerged tree and did quite a bit of damage), then did what was necessary to at least make the boat usable (some fiberglass repair and a prop swap to my spare) until I could get it in to my normal shop for the complete repair. He had it turned around in 2 days and got it done in time for me to get out and get some skiing in during a 70 degree warm spell in November-I was fully convinced that my skiing season was over, and Mike made sure it wasn't! Great communication the whole time, and the work was very well done....

I have had two experiences with the boat Doctor now. Both times he has gone above and beyond for me. First you don’t pay for someone’s guess work. Next and the most important I placed a phone call way past working hours for advice on a problem. He always picks up!!!. I had family intown from three different states for a fishing trip. After a brief discussion over the phone I drove to the shop at 10:00 pm. He confirmed our suspicions and replaced the part in 1 hour. We were back to fishing all night and weekend. Bottom line I have searched for a mechanic to trust and finally after 17 years of boat ownership I feel like I’m getting honesty and a mechanic that generally cares about his customers. Thank you...
