Do not come to this office. I came in with a serious concerns about injury to my back, and requested x-rays be taken. When I was told that my x-rays could not be reviewed same day, I felt that was slightly dishonest but not out of the question, so I made a follow up appointment for the following day. At my second appointment I was told that the x-rays could not be reviewed until I took a "seminar" and was taught how to read them, and to return in two days. Not only were my results never addressed, I was expected to "warm up" on what can only be described as manual traction machines, and be adjusted without having my results reviewed with the doctor. Their services are not being represented in an honest way whatsoever, and being expected to attend a group appointment prior to addressing individual concerns, is odd to say the least. When I entered the clinic, I immediately felt uncomfortable, as I heard the front desk staff discussing patient's private information with each other within earshot of 15-20 people. More than that, they were talking about them in a way that was disrespectful, and demeaning. When I returned for my second appointment, I expected to have my back issue addressed, and instead I was told that "on a scale of 1-10, ten being the worst, my neck was at a 9". I don't have neck pain. I certainly don't have neck issues that put me anywhere near a 9 on a 1-10 scale. This seems like a scare tactic, to misrepresent people's condition so they'll return and pay exorbitant amounts of money. If my condition was as bad as they say, why wouldn't they show me the evidence to support that? Also, how would they be comfortable with me leaving without giving any instructions for care, or guidelines to not further my injury? Their intake paperwork also specifically asked if you take time for prayer each day, and asked for a "current and goal weight". This is not a chiropractic office, it is a "lifestyle" brand that has a very cult...
Read moreFor quite some time I had been having memory problems and I jokingly around, called it my brain tumor. And then the last couple months it has gotten so bad that I was also having trouble saying words in completing sentences. Because I would have to stop to try to remember Words to make the sentence. There was this fog that had crept into my brain. At this point, I thought, I really have a brain tumor or maybe early onset Alzheimer’s, but I’m only 37. I spoke to my doctor and I was referred to a memory clinic. When I reached out to them, they said they are hundred patients behind and most likely I was too young to even be seen there. I was lost. I also have a bad neck. Years ago it was straight and starting to curve the wrong direction. But I just dealt with it. At this time I was also in so much pain with my neck that I finally decided to go to the chiropractor. My husband had been going here for a while and it really helped him with his back. After all my x-rays, Jay went ahead and gave me an adjustment. I walked out of that appointment and realized that the fog was gone. I was absolutely amazed. I learned so much from Summit chiropractic about your nerves and different things that can be affected in your body by just having your spine out of alignment and pinching nerves. made my appointments three times a week and now I’m down to two times a week, but I’m actually a completely different person. My memory is coming back!!! I still have some problems with memory, but I’m hopeful that it will just keep getting better. I no longer have issues speaking and getting words while I’m talking, I am not in pain and are not having headaches. I no longer have to see a memory specialist!! :-) With something like this, it was so obvious and made me such a believer on how Important your spine is. And we all need to take care of it , please go in and be seen as it could save...
Read moreWhether you are going to a conventional medical doctor or seeking alternative medicine, as a patient it is imperative that you feel heard by the professionals you see. Admittedly. I am fascinated by the way that our body works and in particular how things are working and changing with mine, so I tend to ask a lot of questions for understanding. Not only is the staff at Summit willing to take time to answer my questions, they are extremely skilled in what they do! I have been going to chiropractors off and on since I was about 7, and it has always been a struggle for any of them to successfully manipulate my neck, however one major medical issue that I currently face is Vestibular migraines which include major vertigo episodes. After taking X-rays it was very clear that my neck was one of the most important pieces to my healing. I was a little nervous about it, since it has been such a hard one for most chiropractors to get right. If they are able to get a manipulation, then I have vertigo for at least an hour if not longer afterward, but I wanted to get well and am willing to do what it takes. At this point I have been in three times and there has never been any issue getting my neck to do what it needs to, and I have not had a vestibular headache 5 days in a row! That is HUGE I was having them 5/7 days a week and they can be debilitating! While I have just started my journey, I am excited to see where the next chapter takes...
