This shop did have a lot of dress selections. The owner was very friendly and accommodating to letting me know about possible alterations we could make to the dresses. However a few things that my family and I did not like was we were told we were not allowed to look at the dresses to select ones to try on. That they would bring me dress choices. They told us this was due to the fact they are sold off the rack. However, I've been to 4 other shops and my sister in law has been to 20 ranging from California, Idaho, New York, and Pennsylvania (due to a wedding with family in different states) and all encouraged us to start off with looking at dresses so we could pick what we liked and then they would go off those to find more dresses for us. These stores also sold off the rack. Once speaking with other shops about this rule, they also said it was odd. The prices are higher here than I found in other shops for alterations and was told because of the area and type of clientele. They have a right to price what they wish, but I just found other places more affordable with equal selection of the same dresses. Another small aspect that I thought was odd was the stylist coming into the dressing room with me as I took on and off dresses. Althought she was very nice I never had this in any other shops. Instead they get the dress ready for me to go in, I go In alone to get it on, and then I let them know to come in after to clip me up. At first I wasn't sure if this was the norm so did not say anything but now being to many other shops and not seeing this, would've said something. Again, perhaps just their normal routine but not one I would personally prefer and my fault for not speaking up. One nice thing, I did receive a letter from Cloud Nine weeks later to reach out after my appointment to see if I was needing anything to make my decision for a dress. I worked with Shilah while I was in the store and she made this appointment an absolute dream. I had already found a dress that I really loved, but hadn’t quite said yes to. I showed her a picture, told her what I loved and what I was looking for and she pulled dresses that were spot on! Every time I had a question or hesitation, she had an answer with a dress that was better than the last. This minute I slipped into my dress (I’m getting goosebumps writing this!) I just knew it was the one. As I was standing in front of the mirror I said “I would just love if this skirt was glitter tulle!” And like a magic fairy she showed me what it would look like with glitter tulle! And when she hit me with the spotlight!!!! I can’t express how much I love it and can’t wait to try it on again once it gets to the store!!

The experience was amazing and during a pandemic I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. The store was very clean, the dresses were all bagged up and had pictures on them so you could see what they looked like on. I’m not sure if they did this before the pandemic, but it was nice to be able to see the dress without pulling it out of the bad! The prices here are so incredibly reasonable and they have an in-house seamstress too!!!

I had an absolutely incredible experience at Cloud Nine! 10/10 would do it again, and would recommend to anyone looking for a gown. My consultant, Britnee, was simply fantastic. She is an absolute magic maker. She was so professional, positive and easy to work with. We pulled close to a dozen dresses off the racks, some were even just for fun, and she was on board with it. Britnee worked with us for over two hours to get everything just right and answer all my questions! I went in with an idea of what I was looking for... and actually ended up choosing the first dress Britnee pulled for me... it ended up being everything I never knew I wanted! (Told you, magic maker.) She helped me find the perfect veil (we tried almost as many as we did gowns) to go with my dress, let me walk around the store and test all the lighting, and take approximately 1.2 million pictures. After paying for my dress, I was presented with a mini bottle of (custom-labeled!) sparkling cider to celebrate and received a card in the mail later the following week! Attention to such small details really made me feel so, SO special. I'll update this when I get to doing my fittings and alterations this...
