We went in to get my ring fixed because a side diamond fell out, we did not purchase the engagement ring from Fred Meyer but we did purchase my wedding band from them and had both rings soldered together. When we asked about getting my engagement ring fixed they were very rude and dismissive of me and my husband. They did not believe that all my stones were mined diamonds and told us that it wasn’t possible for the amount we paid for it, then she tested it and they showed up as a higher quality than any of the diamonds in her display cabinet, she kept grabbing different testers and re testing it like she couldn’t believe that our ring could possibly be that good of quality. Another lady also made a comment about my boots being knock offs of an expensive brand which I thought was rude too. I also scheduled an appraisal of the entire set because I needed one for my insurance to cover getting the damages fixed. Fast forward to 2 days before the appraisal and the store called me to confirm that I was coming in for the appraisal and I said yes as long as the ring was fixed and back at the store. The associate said that yes the ring would be there when we came in. We showed up at noon the day of the scheduled appraisal, (we live over and hour and a half away from the store and the roads where awful so it took us over 2 hours to get there) I told them why we were there and they could not find my ring. After about 20 minuets of them looking for it they said that it was still at the jewelers getting fixed. We were pretty upset that we got a babysitter for our child, drove over 2 hours to get there and were treated very rudely all to not even get the ring back or appraised. They told us that we could come back in may for the appraisal after the ring was fixed even though it has been getting “fixed” since January 19th and we came in for the appraisal on February 8th. When we asked to get a discount on the price of getting the ring fixed they said yes they could do that so we asked to get it in writing in case they forget what they told us when we come to pick up the ring and they rolled their eyes about it and acted like it was the biggest inconvenience ever. Every time we have been to the CDA store we have been treated rudely and as if we are an inconvenience for them to work with. We were looking at diamond earrings and the lady redirected us to the “more in your budget” lab grown diamond earrings as she put it even though we never told her what our budget was. They profile people based on the way they look and how much money they think they can make off of them. I will not be buying anything else from the Fred Meyer jewelry...
Read moreI strongly suggest not wasting your time with this branch & save the hassle by just going to the Spokane Valley Mall branch. Upon walking into this branch I stood for 10 minutes while an employee worked with someone (not a big deal, I felt sorry for her having to work alone). A young man & young woman walked into the back & then came out. The young man said "someone will be right with you" and then proceeded to walk over to an older lady who had just walked in and helped her while I waited for the first woman to get done working with her first client. She then approached me with an obnoxious "this is how it is" attitude when I was only there to size down my & my fiances wedding rings. Stating that "he needed to be there to choose the size" when in fact, he did not. Because I obviously knew what it needed to be sized down to. She then continued to be angry with me because I didnt have my papers with me. Because apparently looking up a customer is a hardship enough to make a big deal out of. She filled out some paper receipt of the order, handed me the receipt and sent me on my way. Fast forward to today (12/12/13) & I called to see if our rings were done because i live out of town and would need to drive an hour and half to get there. I had received a call a couple of days prior that was more of a status report than a confirmation that our order was done (again, we were just sizing down our rings, nothing more.) so i wanted to be sure. Apparently that is frowned upon because i got "well if it says it was done on 12/9/13 then it should be done??".Apparently their entire staff is rude because this was from a different lady than the one who I had originally been working with. I dont know if its because im 23 and dont look like an older or richer woman that they felt like they needed to talk down to me? But the professionalism at this branch is non-existent, if not,...
Read moreDo not go here.
Bought an engagement ring from them a month ago, was sold on their service. The ring was size 7 and my fiancee needed size 6.5 but was told they could resize the ring in about 10 days as part of the "sales pitch"
A month later I brought the ring to be resized, the assistant manager; took the ring and my name and number and I went about my way.
Today, 12 days later- I called to check on the ring the first girl I spoke to was rude and dismissive, saying that they don't do business that quickly and that I should have got some paperwork saying so (I did not, nor do I believe her)
Then tries to tell me it's gonna be another week or so because lab grown diamonds take longer, when I pushed back on this she put me on hold and transfered me.
Finally the third lady I spoke to seemed to actually want to help, but all she could find out was that ring was shipped and that it would be arriving the day I'm scheduled to leave town.
If I'd have known the customer service was going to be handled so poorly I'd have never set foot in this store- they have no problem taking your money and having a time efficient way to remind you of payments but have no care for you after your purchase. 1 sold false promises on time-frames, the 2nd couldn't be bothered and the 3rd was left holding the bag for the first two.
Do not go to this store. There's tons of other jewelers in the area and frankly, I have nothing but regret for my business with these people.
There has been no good will or any indication of correcting the behavior of their employee, and no gesture of retention; they will only take your money and mishandle your purchase; and treat you like an...
