This place used to be a real dump. The new owners have really turned this place around. Very under-staffed, however, with the exception of one of the cashiers, their service is above and beyond, like walking into grandma's kitchen. On weekends, you're greeted like family and she always checks my eggs....not the fake cr*p/personality you experience in other stores. The weekend cashier is genuinely HAPPY to see you. I do wish the Deli was more consistent with what they serve, but nevermind - the service and food is great. It used to be so filthy in the kitchen area, I wouldn't buy their food. The new owners have certainly corrected that.
Some items are way overpriced, but I have found that if I have the time, many of their prices are better than other stores (especially the organic veggies/fruit and meat ($1 per pound for chicken?! Coo)....it just means going through their ads and having the time to pay attention to...
Read moreHave had more than a couple experiences where the item(s) are more expensive at checkout than what they’re advertised and the cashier gives an excuse on how prices put your in the register were overlooked. It’s not so much that paying a little more money at a place that’s somewhat overpriced anyways makes a huge difference on someone’s budget or rating, it’s just the fact that they seem to be enterprising on customers negligence on the final sale at the register by having items priced lower on the shelf and if your not paying attention, some items start costing more, I’ve noticed it varies, but it happens too often to be an honest mistake and I can only imagine the extra revenue it generates every month by taking advantage of trusting customers. Everything else is not bad to me but it’s the bad ethics of a business that’s distasteful to me and deters from...
Read moreThe clerk is too busy socializing with some girl and other customers at 8:30 at night. Did not bag my items correctly - AFTER asking me if I needed a bag for 2 2L of sodas, a can of Yerba mate tea, a container of sour cream and a large bag of twizzlers. Really? Was I supposed to carry something between my teeth? Then he bagged the 2 liters in one bag and the smaller items in 1 bag. Needless to say, the small bag fell as soon as I walked outside the door, busted my Yerba Mate drink and he would not replace it. How inefficient and rude! Doesn't their vendor give them credit for a damaged drink? I was struggling to keep the 2 liters in the same bag from falling or having the bag tear. I feel...
