What a complete and total joke this courthouse is, it’s turned into a circus full of people that don’t know anything. I can’t even get divorced because they are mailing stuff to a nonexistent address that they took upon themselves to keep changing it to, no matter how many times I correct it. The judges sitting arrogantly high on their taxpayer horses seem to think they are better than everyone else and can do whatever they want such as, forcing us into meditation for absolutely no reason other than to line the pockets of some mediator when my wife even said she wasn’t contesting anything and we have NO children together. I ask what form I need and they have no clue nor do they even have the form I need after being told I need the specific form by someone else in the court who even told me where to get it. The different departments clearly do not communicate well with each other, if at all. So if you have to unfortunately be there in front of a judge, be prepared for the judge to get irritated and embarrass you as he berates you for not being properly prepared or not having the specific forms they demanded but no one knows anything about. These people seem to forget they work for us and we can have even a judge replaced. Judge Casey Simmons needs to be removed. Earlier this year she let a guy go after 5 months of a 15 year sentence for attempted murder. Most recently she threw out a permit for Panhandle Bike Park 10 days before they were suppose to open. This has made national news because the park was built but the same team that did Whistler bike trails and was highly anticipated. Why is a judge from Kootenai County interfering with Bonner County? Four houses on a dirt road are complaining the bike park is a resort, which the land cannot be zoned for. It's not a resort and was not permitted as a resort. No bike park in the USA is called a resort, they are parks, and some of them have resorts attached to them. Schweitzer Resort, has a bike park. Panhandle Bike Park is a recreational park, it doesn't have hotels, restaurants, stages, bars, or anything that make it a resort. The 4 houses complaining are doing so because of perceived traffic and dust, nothing that has actually even happened yet. This bike park would generate jobs and millions in revenue from Spokane. Kootenai County is the most HO BUNK County I have ever encountered. My sons dad is OUT ON BAIL FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, and has a RESTRAINING ORDER protecting myself and my child. He tried to pull a fast one and jumped the boarder from WA over to ID and tried to Petition for a joint custody order. And I responded to the paper work and put the evidence of the no contact order in my paper work and it is still being taken to trial. I have had to spend $3,000 on a lawyer for this. That shouldn't even be legal and a judge should never even have allowed it, due to his petition falling under penalty of perjury, since he lied in his petition. NOT TO MENTION WE DIDN"T EVEN LIVE IN THIS COUNTY AT ALL nor did we even live in the state of ID. And the judge still set it for a trial. Makes me sick to my stomach that this state does NOTHING to protect DV VICTIMS. If I could give ID a zero stars I would. OH AND THE SECURITY AND STAFF THERE ARE VERY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL on top of everything. It could make someone have a mental break down. I should take this...
