I'm just a normal guy and I wish I didn't have to leave this review as I try to be positive at all times. Unfortunately people need to know what KH is up to. Things have changed slightly over the past several weeks but the bulk of my review remains the same:
No matter what you do, DON'T use Dr. Clark. He is (had been, we have since had court and we proceeded without Dr. Clark's statement) actively defying a court order to fill out medical paperwork for my father who has dementia and is a danger to himself and others. In addition, he is making an already horrible time in our lives even worse. My father is actively dying and Dr. Clark is abandoning his oath. It should be noted that the judge in this case was blown away by the way KH approached this situation, this is not just our opinion, this is a legitimate problem.
I (continue to) hold Dr. Clark personally responsible for any injuries that occur financially or physically to my father from this point forward. My father is in this position because you failed to act at the beginning of all this and now you make the situation worse.
Dr. Clark, you should be ashamed of yourself and you deserve to lose your medical practice. I hope you see this, I hope your staff sees this, and I hope any potential patients see this review...Dr. Clark WILL put your loved one's life at risk.
Update: The Kootenai Health team has seen this review and is now attempting to cover this whole situation up by having the review taken down. why bother taking down a factual statement about the kind of care people receive at your hospital KH? Are we looking at corruption as well as negligence?
Update 2: When I went to speak with Dr. Clark about the situation and perhaps help him understand the gravity of what has been going on, Dr. Clark hid from me (have no idea why) and called security to escort me off the property as if I had done something wrong. At this point I called administration to try and sorth this whole mess out and spoke with Mary, who was incredibly condescending and rude towards me. This hospital system is a nightmare and an embarrassment to the once-great values of North Idaho.
Jameson Smith, if you read this review it is in your best interest (and that of the community) to sit down and chat with me about all this. You know how to get...
Read moreI will never ever use this orthopedic office again. Not when on day 2 you go in for your 2 day check up & you tell them the pain meds aren't strong enough to handle the pain you're going through and then what do they do They treat you like a drug addict! I have a very high tolerance because of several surgeries and when I went in to see Tara on day 2 or 3 and she ignored my Pleases for help... I had just been through a bicep reattachment and rotator cuff surgery!!! Not an easy surgery On top of that she called the pharmacy and told them not to release the meds till a certain day knowing that I was would to be out of medication but she didn't care!!! Yep but on day 2 they ripped me a new one because I was taking 2 pills just like instructions on the bottle said that's Exactly what the bottle says 2 do! they can take their poison & take it themselves!!! I don't need to be treated like that nor do I deserve to be treated like that at 60 years old! I'm not even sure if I'll finish the care from them. I get my stitches out in 1 week & then I will never go back to them again ever! Then the same nurse wants to give mixed up aftercare directions. She told my husband I needed to be up on day 2 doing a pendulum. I asked her about it and she said oh I'm not comfortable with you doing that yet My MIL who is a nurse locally here told me to formally file a complaint against them. She keeps telling my husband to go pick up the meds. I've made up my mind.. I'm better than that and I don't need crap from them.. I'm sure I'll be back to work faster than they predicted.. I wouldn't even have had this surgery had I known they would have even thought about treating me like this. Mil says They are trained to treat everyone like a drug addict!! This is uncalled for! Very unprofessional. Arp. Tara Flores is horrible & I won't ever use this orthopedic office again. Because of how badly they treated me I've only done 3 days of pain meds and I refuse to take anything else . Well I'm NOT playing their stupid games! The actual surgeon was wonderful â¤ď¸ Tara the arnp nurse Tara truly doesn't care about the patient. Unfortunately Tara will continue to treat people this way and I just want to warn people she is not a nice person to...
Read moreI never leave bad reviews unless it's really awful! I've been hospitalized many times in my life at Kootenai Health due to a debilitating rare life limiting disease. It's hard for me to write this review because some of the people like some of the nurses, patient advocacy, and case workers are incredible, that is why I am even ratinga 2 star review. But I cannot go on anymore without speaking up! I was recently hospitalized for 9 days and I have never in my life been treated with such indignity, disrespect, and overall disregard for my health, mentally and physically in my life! Not only was I not informed of a life threatening condition that they found during my stay, but they administered therapy and medication for it without talking to me, or even telling me anything about what they found to be wrong. When I spoke up about it, it was then within hours that I had 4 people in different positions throughout the hospital visit me to "ask me how they could help fix this situation for me." It wasn't still until 10PM that night after also leaving me in a 10/10 pain for 12 hours straight that the night hospitalist came into explain what was wrong and what they had found, and why they were administering the treatments that they had. I will say he was a very kind doctor and went the extra mile to help me at that late point. Basically in my opinion, he ended up having to clean up the other doctors mess. Fast forward to the next day & they had put another doctor on my case and from there it got a little better. Between a few of the nurses belittling my pain, and skipping scheduled doses of my medications, and the doctor that didn't follow even the basic standard of care it was the scariest most horrific experience I have ever had in a medical facility or admittance! It's completely horrifying to be very ill and hospitalized, and not feel safe under the care of your doctors. Especially when there's a life threatening condition in the mix! There's no excuse for a breakdown in what the basic standard of care should be and is! I hope by speaking up about my experience they take steps to make sure this happens to no one...
