Lucky Monkey — Local services in Coeur d'Alene

There's a place in Seattle that I was bummed I'd be missing once I moved back to CDA and Lucky Monkey has filled that void. I first saw some of their merch at Art on the Green and when we happened to be downtown on Labor Day we went in to check it out and it was love at first sight! They have all the quirky items like bacon bandaids or funny flasks or clever-titled soaps. They also have guys and girls shirts that makes it hard to choose just one. They also have jewelry, even MORE women's apparel on the right side of the building, and all the hippy incense you can get your hands on. Cool store with cool stuff but I’ve never felt more disrespected or unwelcome thanks to the female employee with glasses who was rude and barked at me for wanting to take a picture of something I wanted to send to someone to see if it’d be a good gift. Never was greeted when I entered the store and was ignored but before I even had a chance to make a purchase she had no problem rudely telling me I could support the business by making a purchase instead of taking a picture. My friend ended up buying something but after her snide remark I refuse to support a business like that treats...

Cute, quirky store with something for everyone. Loved the jewelry side and the sassy side was fun. Would hope for better customer service. Clothes side was fine but girl on the other side was super snippy with a woman in there who was asking about a discount she’d gotten before. Like I get if you don’t offer the same discount anymore but don’t chew the customer’s head off, it was just a question. She looked in tears leaving. Super unsettling to see.
