If I could give zero stars today I would. Very sad. I've been coming to Midway for as long as I can remember. They helped us keep my dad's dryer going with having available older parts to it. That in turn helped us save hundreds of dollars for our family and it also taught me how to rip apart, fix and put back together appliances thanks to the advice they've given us.
Today I called them and tried to describe to the man on the phone that I have a dryer door switch and that the bracket that holds it in place, broke. So I then tell him that the sensor works fine when pushing the button and I was curious if they know if the sensors and bracket are normally bought together or if I can buy a bracket by itself. I saw a million places online that I could have bought an entire bracket and sensor for $4. I personally liked them in the past and a big supporter of local businesses. This man proved to me that I should just stick to going online from now on. He laughed at me in the middle of describing my issue and my question and said "I obviously haven't seen your dryer so only you would know what that looks like." I then asked him nicely to not laugh at me and that it was rude. Then it got quiet and I asked if he was still there and it sounds like he then put me on speaker phone and faintly says "oh yeah, I'm here" uninterested. I then ask him if caught him at a bad time, because it sounds like I'm intruding. He then replies "nah, I mean if you just give me a second to help the person who's staring me in the face right now then I could get back to your problem." Needless to say I said no thank you and I will take my business elsewhere. It's sad that good counter salesman ettiquette has left building. Better off finding...
Read moreI have purchased parts from this store in the past and there has always been an "attitude" of bothering the workers when I go in. This is the only place to get appliance parts in town and they obviously know it.
I called today to check to see if they had a part I needed. The lady answered and I told her the part I needed. She put me on hold twice and hung up on me. I tried to explain this to her the third time I called and she said, "You are the third person to call and I have two other lines on hold. I tried to explain to her that she was possibly accidentally hanging up on me when she was putting me on hold. She came back with attitude telling me I need to wait in line so she can help the other two people on hold... I was the other 2 people on hold and she didn't know she was hanging up on me! I will never deal with this place again! I'll order my...
Read moreNow this is coming from a Service tech who buys his parts at midway to make repairs for my customers. Yes you can go online to buy parts so can I but buyer's be ware the parts you buy online are cheap knock off's Midway only sell's top of the line OEM parts that I know work. I made the mistake one time at buying parts online spent $500.00 in parts installed them. I was called back in less than 1 week every part had failed. Like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. And one more thing I see all the negative remarks , but you need to understand there are millions of different parts every appliance has different parts. So have a little understanding when you get put on hold. Pat, Amanda and Joy down at midway really help us keep are appliances running up here in...
