My wife's old Dell Inspiron had a charging plug broken. I ordered the part myself and was going to install it as well, but when I saw on a YouTube that I had to take the entire laptop apart, just to replace the plug I thought I would rather someone else do it who had done it before and had all the necessary tools and tubes of stuff. I called one computer repair business, highly rated too, but they had me on the phone for ten minutes, hemming and hawing, checking their schedule, checking to see whether we could bring it in when they could get to it and on and on. They wouldn't be able to get to it for two weeks and then we'd have to leave the computer, etc., etc. My wife suggested, "Why don't you make another call?" That's when I called N8's. Nate said, "Sure, bring it in! We'll fix it while you wait. No problem." And that is exactly what they did, and for half the price of the other guy. Now that is service! THAT is a way to get business. Nate, and the other guys working there are excellent at what they do. They can get things working when others cannot. They'll change out ICs, when others would replace a whole board. They know how to get things done, and they're fun to talk to while they're fixing your stuff. Seriously! They're confident enough of their skills that they have their desk right out front where you can watch them. These guys are a real find! You will not be disappointed. I overheard them talking about fixing drone controllers, and they fix mobile phones, big TVs, and also vintage stereo equipment. They know electronics, so if you have something broke, they'll fix it. These guys rate right at the top of any of the businesses I have reviewed. I give them the highest recommendation.
Since it looks like I can't give N8's a second review, I'm adding to the one I have already given. I love vintage electronics and have collected a complete top-of-the-line vintage Kenwood system from circa 1978. In the process I have ended up with a second KA-9100 integrated amplifier, one of the very best, if somewhat unappreciated, amplifiers made during the "Stereo Wars" the period of the 70's when some of the best stereo components you could ever find were made. When I attempted to recap it I got it to work, but then experienced some problems that I couldn't figure out and then time got away from me and it remained nonfunctional in my garage for about five years. But then when I moved to Idaho and learned of N8's and that he knows vintage electronics I knew I had found the right place to get my beloved KA-9100 working again. Nate himself worked on it for several days, tracing the stereo signal through one capacitor at a time through the whole signal path, finally discovering a marginal capacitor that he replaced and a couple loose connections (very probably my fault). He also thoroughly cleaned the controls and replaced the meter bulbs. It was enjoyable to hear his enthusiastic description of all that he did to solve the problem. Nate loves what he does, and loves vintage electronics. He was extremely thorough in confirming his fix and tracking down any remaining issues. If you have any vintage electronics that you would like to bring to life, Nate's the guy. My Kenwood KA-9100 now...
Read moreTake your phone to this repair shop!! They are the best: very friendly and know exactly what they are talking about! The first thing they did was quickly remove a tiny piece of plastic causing my phone screen to act weird that the last repair guy left behind without even charging anything.
I had jumped into the water with my phone, and did everything you're not supposed to do after your phone gets wet (Keeping it on, constantly using it for videos and pictures, ect.) It stopped working within 15-30 minutes. Took it to a random repair shop after 2 days of it still not working. This guy got the screen to turn on but the touch wouldn't work, and he told me there's nothing that can be done because the motherboard is ruined.
I came back home from vacation and looked around at my local repair shops. They all said there was nothing they could do, and that the only option was a motherboard repair. They tried to tell me it would cost $500 and up to several thousand just to find somone who could fix it. Thankfully, I didn't believe them and found N8's Tech Services.
Nate said because of everything that happened and because it was an off brand phone (Motorola Edge 5g 2021E), and they didn't have schematics for it, there was a low chance they could fix it, but nevertheless, I wanted them to try.
Turns out, the last repair not only failed to fix my phone, but also broke the motherboard and even bent my phone.
Nate's crew constantly communicated with new important updates, and always got my permission before buying new parts to fix my phone. They not only fixed my phone, but even straightened it, and gave it some better heat resistant paste. Not to mention a more than resonable price!!
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER REPAIR SHOP!!!
They are better priced. Better experienced. Better communicaters. Better Service. They are the whole package! Stop reading this comment, and...
Read moreAmazing, honest, and willing to go the extra mile. I came to Nate after another company messed up my phone doing a simple batter change. I’ve now lost EVERYTHING on my phone do to the incompetence of this other company. This other company said it was my fault the phone was dead. I took my phone to Nate and he took the time to get me video of the damage and inspect this other companies work. I was able to PROVE to the other company that they caused the damage. Nate has literally saved me thousands of dollars over a simple battery change. Although he was not able to work and repair my phone himself, Nate set pride aside and referred me to someone he believed could do the job right. (Only 2 reputable people in the nation could do the repair) Nate was upfront that he was not comfortable with doing the delicate repair himself which saved me from losing ALL my data. I’ve spent way to much time in his shop (I’m sure he has wanted to kick me out but never said a word) while he has helped me and I’ve watched his interactions with other customers. He is a professional, an expert in his craft, and most important honest. I will never take my electronics anywhere else and neither should you. He took the time to inform me what was wrong with my phone and help me understand how and why things are done. He broke it down Barney Style for me and never in a condescending manner. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I’ve only written one or two review before. This would be my 3rd. It would be a disservice to let his hard work go unnoticed to those around the area. You can’t put a price on integrity. I called shops all over the US for help and I ended up 20 minutes away from the best help you will ever find. I can not thank Nate enough for all...
