I had my hair colored by Dayna this last Saturday. She was confident, engaging, and very sweet. It really pains me to have to leave a negative review. Truly wanted to give her a chance. I told her that I wanted to cover my gray hairs with an all over color similar to the one I already have. She asked me if I wanted highlights and I told her I wasnāt opposed to subtle highlights, but no red highlights. She said I got you! Comes back after mixing the color, applies the color, said it will be 35 minutes and then sheād be back. By that time the color of the stuff she put on my hair was already turning a red dirt color (like the red dirt in Hawaii). Didnāt seem right to me, but what do I know? She left, came back 35 minutes later and washed out the color she had applied. She said āI donāt want you to freak out but your hair is redā. She was calm so I was calm. She said donāt worry I will fix this and blamed the color manufacturer for the mistake. It was an ugly copper red⦠I had faith. Everyone makes mistakes I wanted to giver her the chance to fix it. 2 additional treatments later and 3 1/2 hours at the salon my hair is black with red undertones. At the time when I left, the lights had gone out above her chair so it was hard for me to see the red, the black hair had me freaked but I had already been in the chair for 3 1/2 hours! I figured my hair would lighten over time so I paid her the $87 plus tip and left. I got in my car and immediately saw the red, black hair with red undertones. I was very conflicted because I had spent so much time in the salon and didnāt want to go back, she had already put so much color on my fine hair that I knew there was no way it could take any more. So I left and went home. Reaction by my family confirmed what I already knew. They said I looked like Billie Eilish, which could be fine if I wasnāt over 50 years old. But I also went in only wanting to cover my gray hair, not to look like a new person. I texted Dayna and asked for my money back since I will be going to another salon to have it fixed which will cost me additional money. (Driving to my old salon which is over 2 hours away). She said she could not give me my money back but would fix it. Unfortunately I have lost faith in her fixes so I declined that offer. The reason for this review is that I did not get my money back. If I had, then I would have felt like I had been heard. Services were not performed to my satisfaction so I believe a refund is in order.
UPDATE: 3/25/22 I spent an additional 3 hours and $250 and now have dark brown hair (darker than I wanted but not black like it was) and a few ugly copper highlights that are left over from the botched job. I will be back in May to cover up fading of the darker color to hide the red / copper. I had NO idea that things could go this wrong with an all over color. No contact from Dayna or anyone else from this salon??? I cannot believe the level of carelessness. The gal who fixed my hair was also...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by saying that the salon itself is clean and visually appealing. However, this review reflects on the unprofessional behavior of one of the stylists, not the salon or the owners. As I understand it, the stylists rent space from the salon and do not work for the salon directly.
That being said, DO NOT book an appointment with Kelsey Williams! I met Kelsey at another salon and had no issues with her there. Once she moved to this salon, everything changed.
I arrived for my scheduled appointment in December. I was running late due to the weather and had texted Kelsey to let her know. She was also running late due to other clients also arriving late to their appointments that day. Once I arrived, I had to wait about 10 minutes for her to finish with the client ahead of me, no issue there. Once seated at her station, I told her I wanted to change my color and asked her for color swatches so I could show her what I wanted. She was completely unprepared, but another stylist graciously offered her swatch book. I showed Kelsey exactly what I wanted and she proceeded to color my hair.
When the process was complete, the color was not even close to the color I had chosen. When I questioned Kelsey about it, she seemed unconcerned. She said it was darker than the swatch because of the blonde highlights in my hair and it would fade in a few washes to the color I selected. Two weeks later, the color had not faded. I texted Kelsey and let her know the color was still not correct. When she did not offer to correct the problem, I asked her to change my next appointment from a cut and color to a cut only.
The day of my following appointment, Kelsey texted me twice, three hours apart, to cancel. When I inquired about rescheduling, I received a rude message in return telling me to find someone else to cut my hair! Even though my previous visit wasn't up to par, I wanted to give her the opportunity to correct the issue. She is apparently lacking in professional ethics and will not even own up to the mistake, much less try to correct it. Save yourself the hassle and book with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve never left a review before, let alone a bad one but I went to see Tiffany to get my eyelashes tinted and lifted as well as my brows tinted and lifted. I told her that I had lash extensions in the past but never a lift and tint. My eye lashes are already nicely curved I just wanted them a bit darker and assumed she would have said something if I did not need them lifted. After doing the lift process and tinting she soon saw that my lashes were literally touching my eyelids and she tried to correct them by adding more lash treatment causing her to have to retint them again. I think that ended up crushing my lashes even more . I have never looked so silly in my life. However my eye brows turned out nice! Hence the 2 stars. She took maybe 10-20 bucks off but I still gave her a tip...I wish I would have told her she was crazy to charge me as much as she did! My lashes are completely ruined and I can not wait for them to all fall out so I can have my old lashes again. I canāt even put on eyeliner or mascara still since they are so kinked at my lash line and I got this done almost 2 weeks ago. The reason I am just now reviewing is because I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt since I have not gotten this type of treatment before and I was not sure if that was normal. Iām confident my experience was not normal and I will not be returning to her...
