I was in need to completely remodel a bathroom for my aging Mother. Original tub from 1929. I wanted to remove the tub, completely, and put in a shower. I wanted a tile floor shower with the best non-slip texture. I needed someone that could listen to my vision and help me fill in the missing pieces to make it perfect. I needed a company that understands how to make a bathroom as safe and functional as possible. I contacted the Cincinnati Council on Aging. They had some contractors that they recommended. Some were installing grab bars; some do outdoor ramps for entry. Very few were full contractors. I checked them all out and was really drawing to KBC. I reached out to Ken Bryan, the owner. Ken immediately called me the next day and we talked about my vision. Ken was great to start the process with and he set my mind at ease that I was making the right choice. Plans were made. Drawings were provided. I reviewed the drawings and made changes, until I was happy with the overall project view. KBC’s project manager Gregg was a great help with some fine details and with pointing me to vendors that they have worked with for tile, fixtures, and shower doors. The project started with demo and reconstruction. All throughout the project the KBC team was kind, courteous and cleaned up afterwards. Special thanks to Aaron, Mike, and Erin. Great people that kept me updated on the projects progress and made the final project better than I could have expected. If you have an aging parent and are trying to make sure you can allow them the dignity of living out their lives in their own homes, KBC is a great company...
Read moreMy original estimate in June 2021 for a sunroom and patio was 130k. I already had drawings and a bill of materials and two other estimates that were close to this amount. So I decided to go with KBC. After that estimate I had to pay 3300 for an “detailed estimate”. After 8 months of back and forth with the project manager the drawings were written out line item by line item for some reason and I’m supposed to sign off on that like I know how to build a porch. They called me and told me the material cost increased and the estimate was a little higher than originally expected. I was thinking 140, 145. They raised the price 85k! I felt like they were either price gouging or just didn’t want to do the work. Either way, I’m out 3300 and 8 months. Now I’m back to the beginning getting estimates from contractors again. I feel like I was scammed. You have...
Read moreI hired KBC to do a kitchen remodel. Ken quoted me a price and gave me a timeline. Not only did they keep to their schedule but they informed me if they were not going to be at my home and explained why. I live in an apartment building with strict rules about when they can work and I was told by the manager and staff that they were a pleasure to deal with. They finished on time and I now have a beautiful and functional kitchen. I have used many contractors in several states and KBC is definitely among the best. Thank you Scott and Michael. You made it easy to live with...
