My child attended the 7-8 year old week. During this time a horrible storm hit and children and staff were sent home because it was not safe for them to be at camp and not knowing when/if they could return. We paid $335 for a week of camp - my son was dropped off Sunday at 4:30pm and was picked up 11:30am on Tuesday. They have “generously “ offered a refund of $40 cash, $50 for credit next year or the monies can be donated. My child will not be returning, Camp Whitley was not even prepared for a storm. They had no generators on hand and had to post an URGENT request for some the morning after which was then deleted. Read moreI’ve been coming to camp for I think six years this year. It is one of the best things that’s happened to me. I know me and everyone else look forward to coming to camp all year. Me and my cousins all talk about camp for weeks before and weeks after camp. It is something that has made a huge impact on our lives. The counselors are amazing and are always supportive. They’re their whenever you need them and try to make the camp experience fun for everyone. Sadly this was my last year at camp.
