Took my duramax in to have a blown brake line replaced. Was quoted $350-400 to replace with labor lines costing 100$ each needing 2 lines replaced. Vehicle was to be done next day, didn’t receive a phone call until 3 days later to be told it was done. Upon getting the vehicle I was charged double the quoted amount. No one bothered to call to let me know it was going to cost over 10% more than quoted as required by law. Parts total was only $130 instead of quoted amount and then the additional $530 for labor. In the details they also did a bumper to bumper inspection diagnosing other issues I had not requested or authorized to be investigated while billed for the time spent doing that.

In comparison another shop removed and replaced the transfer case, replaced u-joints, differential cover, hood hinges, trans filter and replaced all fluids, with more time spent working on the vehicle than spent on the break lines at D&J for under $500 labor on the same truck.

The work I had requested was done was satisfactory. However I will never return and will throughly advocate to others to avoid this shop and use other more honest shops with stronger integrity displayed from my experience here. It’s a shame when you try to support a local business and they abuse your support. Theres a difference between exceeding a quote and high way robbery.

If you do choose this shop be diligent in getting quotes and requested work in writing before consenting so small claims doesn’t have to settle it like it...

We would highly recommend D&J Garage to anyone looking for a quality vehicle repair shop. We are very impressed with the polite service we received each time we need a repair or regular maintenance done on any of our vechles. Jake is extremely knowledgeable and he has earned our trust with all our vehicle needs.
