Great Experience! Long read, but worth it if you really need to know what you're getting. I suffered a loss to my home from an upstairs bathroom on the morning of September 13th. Initially, I was not aware of the amount of damage, so I began ferociously trying to clean up the water myself. Shortly after, I realized that the loss was too great. I googled water mitigation companies after speaking with a claims representative at my insurance company and found Sevepro of Richland County among many other businesses. I read the reviews and most were good, but there were a few not so good ones. Ultimately, I did not have a choice but to call one and so I called and spoke with a representative who took my information and said someone would be contacting me. That made me a little uneasy because there was no definite time of when I would get the call and the water was coming down harder and harder into my downstairs living area. Needless to say, someone contacted me within the hour. I believe it was just an hour, but my adrenaline was pumping so hard, I'm a little sketchy on the specific timing. I received a call from Zach of Servpro confirming my address and letting me know that they were on the way. I continued to clean and try to dry up the mess because the insurance company instructed me to limit the amount of damage, as that was my duty. By this time, I had dried up most of the water that was pooring into my living room area and felt a little comfort that I no longer had this big pool of water in my house. Upstairs was another story, but that would be dealt with later. At the very moment that I finished downstairs, my cell phone rang. I answered the call and simultaneously, the entire ceiling caved in almost hitting me in my head. I immediately lost it. I began sobbing uncontrollably. I know this because I was not able to stop crying as Zach sat on the other line trying to console me because he was calling to say they were pulling up. I remember him telling me that it was going to be okay and that they were there to take care of the mess for me. That meant a great deal to me, as I felt helpless at that vvery moment. I didn't understand how this could happen to me again since I had just suffered a water loss less than a year ago and replaced all the flooring and part of the ceiling in my house and incurred a huge cost.The entire time that Zach and Pete were in my house, it felt like they were a couple of neighbors that came over to help. They were kind as they explained the process to me step by step.. They played with my dog and reassured me that all would be okay. I understand fully that this is a business and they were there to do a job, but it really made a difference to me that they were so kind and it felt genuine. Read moreThese people are awful, rude and very hard to deal with. Additionally they work against the customer rather than for to appease the insurance company I suspect although I cannot prove this they do it to get consideration for future work. Which would explain why the insurance company referred them in the first place. I only called them because my insurance company suggested it had I known their purpose was to help the insurance company and not me the customer, I would have made another choice. Actions speak volumes and their actions with handling my case would lead one to believe they are working for the insurance company rather then the customer. I will never again in my life use them. Philip is hard to deal with and doesn't even allow you to ask questions or talk without blowing up on the customer and rudely hanging up. If they are questioned about anything it is met with a rude response. I had a legitimate concern and called to ask a question and instead of him answering it he blew up and made accusations. Items were removed from my home that were not catalogued so my question to him was are there any other items that this happened with. He mentioned items were placed in the dumpster so I asked him what and also stated the dumpster was removed so how would I know what was placed there and he got upset. When you suffer a fire loss these details are important and I'm sorry I trusted them. Additionally a laptop computer was removed from my home that I asked questions about and has never surfaced. This happened while they were at my home. They also left my home unsecured over the weekend when they were there to remove items and when I came to my house that Saturday windows downstairs were up which would have allowed anyone access to the home. Read moreI had a fire at my residence and called Servpro on the recommendation from a couple of friends that were happy with the work they received. Chris Feraci who heads up the fire mitigation/water damage department came out to my residence conveniently at the same time as the insurance adjuster. He was very professional in working with the insurance agent and also taking many pictures of both the inside and the outside of the house. He assured me he would have a team to come out and take care of all the clean up after all the water from the fire and the mess that was left. He contacted me after a few days letting me know all the work was completed including securing the house since the roof was gone and windows were blown out. The insurance company deemed my property a total loss so I asked Chris if he would put me in touch with the department that would demolish the house. In no time David Chavez, who is the project manager of the demolition services, contacted me and we discussed the cost of bringing the home down to the ground and bringing in soil to cover the property. I agreed to the prices and he had a crew out the following week to complete the job. He sent pictures to me and I couldn't believe what a wonderful job that was done. I was extremely pleased with how easy this process was for me. Both Chris and David made sure I understood what steps were taken and also made sure I completely understood what each step entailed. Also, I was in such a state losing my house and all my precious belongings that I must say their kindness truly touched my heart.
