I’ve been going to this salon since they were at a different location and I love the shape Aleka cuts into my hair which is what kept me coming back. I love the space, atmosphere and how on time the appointments run. Until she switched over to using one product line exclusively which didn’t carry a curl mousse (which she got me hooked on using when going with another brand) i also loved the product recommendations and how my style lasted after the appointments. At this point, I have unfortunately decided to no longer patronize this business. As prices kept going up I didn’t expect the quality of my hair care would go down. The last 2 cuts I received my hair was cut way too short. During the consultation I ask for my curls to be just at or slightly below my shoulders. It was cut 1-2 inches above my shoulders both times. I request my hair be styled with volume over definition but have left with it styled super defined and flat (which makes it look longer). I also got highlights and they are stripey and not at all blended when I pull my hair back. All of this has never been a problem until recently. Not sure why but I can’t justify paying premium prices (and being up charged for having thick curly hair at a curly hair speciality salon) to go home and have to style my hair before I come and re-style my hair after the appointment and be upset every time I look in the mirror about the length and color job. It will take MONTHS to grow back and I’m going to have to pay someone else to fix the highlights. I am willing to sacrifice the deposit I paid for my next appointment (before I realized how short my hair was when styled properly) and not risk another botched cut. It seems my type of curls don’t fit the clientele anymore which is unfortunate. If you have either kinky type hair or more fine wavy hair this salon is great but for those of us with patterns in the 3B range I would...
Read moreVery unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment on April 21 for May 30th and was charged a 30$ deposit. I received a call from this salon on May 26th, three days before an appointment I had scheduled over a month in advance, asking to cancel my appointment because they realized it was Memorial Day. When I received the call I was out at dinner and they asked me instantly to reschedule. I said I would need to check my schedule. It was a holiday weekend so I was unable to call back and reschedule that weekend. Monday, when my appointment was supposed to be, I received a text saying I was a no show and was charged an additional 70$. I called on Monday and left a message. They responded Tuesday saying I was charged as no show because I had not called back and rescheduled. I ended up getting my money back after calling back and arguing. The receptionist was very rude and argumentative the entire call and treated me like I knew nothing. I gave this company a chance to make it right and they did not. There was never an apology, just the receptionist continually trying to argue with me about how it was my fault. Very disappointing as I was excited for...
Read moreI had a great experience! The salon is super clean and updated. The front desk gal checked me and was very friendly and sweet. She gave me a video to watch going over the correct curly hair routine and some facts. I learned a lot on what to do and what not to do when styling. This was my first curly hair cut ever. Daysha got me back as soon as I finished the video even before my appointment time. She asked me what I wanted and I showed her some pics of what I liked. I was nervous because my hair has always been one length and long but she gave me layers and cut off my dead ends. She then styled my hair and walked me through each step. Daysha did a great job and I love my results! I felt comfortable the whole time and I felt she understood exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to start my curly hair journey and also bring my daughter as a client soon! Although Daysha did say she started her internship last year for curly hair, I would never know because she seems like a pro. She is very knowledgeable. I would 10/10 recommend this place and I'm glad I...
