Suncor Energy USA Inc — Local services in Commerce City

Suncor does a lot more for the Commerce City community then many of the other companies with businesses here. I don't see anyone else paying for a Boys and Girls Club. You can use the jaded excuse of tax break all you want or any other one. If it was so great why didn't I see McDonald's, Taco Bell or even Wal-Mart do it. Not to mention the Jobs it provides to many residents. Make your snide comments all you want, but Commerce City residents have always been a core group of Colorado. Honest, hard working people who do more for Colorado then people who drive I-270 in their 12 mpg SUVS, "who complain about the look or smell of the place" tend to do For Colorado. Colorado Native right here and can go back 5 generations and you may not like it but Suncor is part of Colorado, just like ConocoPhillips was before. Moved here from Louisiana. And I love Colorado with all my heart upon driving pass this place for the FIRST TIME I knew it was releasing dangerous chemicals. You can smell it and feel it destroying your body. I am shocked this place exists so close to people in great state of Colorado. I love it here but may move just to get away from this abomination. Probably the most depressing and dystopian thing to look at in the Denver area, let alone the entire state. I seriously didn’t know this existed until my bf and I drove by it on the way to the airport. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a small glimpse of what the future will bring if humans keep it up!
