I’ve been a loyal Roland customer because I love their instruments — but my recent experiences with their customer service have been extremely disappointing.
When the hi hat for my TD27 stopped working, I expected timely support. Instead, I encountered literally no help whatsoever. Three days into the issue, and their support offices have been closed the whole time.
What makes this frustrating is not just the technical issue, but the lack of communication and accountability from a company that charges premium prices for its products. To me, those prices just aren’t worth it given the lack of support.
At this point, I can’t recommend Roland to other drummers. Out of curiosity, I called Pearl, Alesis, and Yamaha over the weekend. All three of those manufacturers had support ready and willing to help.
I hope Roland takes these concerns seriously and improves, but until then, buyers beware. The product is OK, but I expect Roland will get left behind soon via manufacturers that provide...

I like all the sounds and options, but with no manual and after watching hours of tutorials and pushing buttons and dials I can't perform a completely basic function - save and name a pattern or track that I create. No one is available to answer calls and the Auto Attendant just redirects you back to their website. If you live nearby, you cannot even drop off the product yourself in person or they'll just turn you away. You are forced to ship and pay for it. They use c0vid as an excuse to not get the job done.
