Forget about tee times, the starter doesn't even have a tee sheet.
The Player's Club Course is not a bad course. It is interesting and fun to play. The problem lies with the staff. Completely clueless on how to operate tee times.
I have played at this course 5 times and every time was the same experience. They pay no attention to tee times. They just let everyone line up at the first tee and you tee off in the order of that line.
My latest experience was not being able to tee off until 2pm for my 1pm tee time. The staff had lots of excuses why, but none of them were valid or logical.
I head up to the first tee about 5 minutes before my 1pm tee time and there is a line of 4 groups yet to tee off. I ask the starter if these 4 groups have earlier tee times than 1pm. He replied that he does not know what any of their tee times are. I ask him where is the tee sheet. He replied I don't have a tee sheet...
If that wasn't bad enough the group in front of us suddenly decided to group up with the group in front of them to create an 8 person group on hole 15. I'm guessing they did that because they finally drank enough Whiteclaws and spiked Arnold Palmer's to work up the courage to do it. The evidence of this was littered all over the course where they left their empty cans and sometimes full cans. The staff did nothing about that either which made our slow day even slower.
If you are going to play this course... just don't. I keep giving them another chance, but they are just getting worse with time.
If you still must play it.. Forget about tee times, just show up whenever you want to play and get to the first tee as soon as you can so you can start waiting in line.
Everything could be fixed at this place with some simple...
Read morePlayed at the foxfire course this morning. Worst course conditions I’ve ever played of any course in central ohio. Fairways were super long, couldn’t tell where the rough started and fairway ended. Roughs and fairways were SUPER overgrown with weeds and crab grass. I understand rough isn’t supposed to be pleasant but at least should be mostly long grass, not weeds. Tee boxes were basically large patches of bald spots with some weeds tossed in. Greens looked like they had the chicken pox. Very patchy and unrepaired ball divot marks all over the place. It honestly looks like they don’t even bother trying with the foxfire course and focus on the players club (although I wouldn’t spend $50 to see what it looks like given the conditions of the foxfire course). We got through 9 and quit because the course was virtually unplayable. You were punished more in the fairway than the rough, because at least the rough had a ton of weeds you could hit out of (assuming you could find your ball in them). They did give us a rain check for the back 9, but given the conditions I’ll never play there again. So anyone want 9 holes of “golf”? This morning was definitely a...
Read moreThis honestly could have been the worst golf experience I have ever had. I have golfed at at least 20+ golf courses in the Columbus area and several others in more rural towns. Playing on this course was like playing on concrete. I understand we have had no rain, but this was unexceptional. By far the worst course I have ever had the opportunity to play on in my 6 year golfing career. To make things worse as we attempted to make the turn to the back nine they failed to mention that we had a deadline which we were never informed of and since they had leagues they gave us the option of taking a rain check on 9 or playing the concrete front 9 again. This course honestly looks like they have stopped taking care of it for 2 years. Jokes aside I wouldn't even go back for free. If you do happen to go here please take my advice and go to the players club right next to it. They actually take care of that course from what...
