The Tat House — Local services in Concord

I hate to do this because it’s a small business but it needs to be said. I called Wednesday night 11/15 asking about pricing for my fourth earlobe and I spoke with Becca who gave me pricing which she said it will be $20 for each earlobe and $10 each for the jewelry so $60 all together, no problem! She then stated “ I can book you for tomorrow” which would have been Thursday 11/16. I said no problem I get off around 3, she stated we can book for 4:45 pm. I said perfect! I get there Thursday 11/16 at 4:45 pm, the shop door is locked, the lights were off and the shop open sign was off. I check google to see their hours which states they’re open from 1-7 pm on Thursday. I called five times and never got an answer or call back, and I called both numbers. So I left and went to Holy Grail to see Billy who is absolutely amazing and he was able to get me in and I paid $20 extra to get my piercings.

Now this is the joke of it all, I finally get a call back from Becca on Saturday 11/18 telling me she booked me for Thursday on thanksgiving and we need to reschedule. For one I know for fact I never booked for thanksgiving so that’s a lie and how do you call back two days later? The lack of professionalism is very sad and I’m pretty sure her work is great but I wouldn’t know because the customer service is horrible. I’m a new customer! Had an emergency with nose piercing jewelry disappearance. A couple of my tattoo/piercing parlors had gone out of business leaving me sunk in this situation ran to google. The first local location was The Tat House never heard of before called up answering on FIRST ring explaining my sitch & what I needed in detail, they were superrrrrrrrr helpful! I arrived only 7 mins later in a VERY clean beautifully styled little nook that had 2 different type of jeweled L shaped nose studs already pulled & STERILIZED waiting on me! Blown away by the professionalism I had the pleasure of finding out I was speaking to one of the owner/tattoo artist with his wife being the piercer/co-owner which she was out on maternity leave he was able to quickly get in contact with her with any questions I had in my purchase. Also had the pleasure of meeting 2nd tattoo artist and briefly sharing tat stories, ideas and learning the work they do! The vibes felt home-ly , opened & family friendly! Excellent experience! Zay and Becca at The Tat House are awesome! Becca helped my 13-yr old daughter who wanted to get her helix pierced. She was very nervous and anxious, but Becca's calm, friendly, polite demeanor eliminated all of those feelings. Not a single tear was shed! I had a good conversation with Zay while Becca was working with my daughter. Both are super-cool, down to earth people. Pricing was very reasonable (especially compared to other Concord area shops) and the customer service was top-tier. I had to complete an online consent form before they would work on my daughter, which was a welcomed sign that they operate with integrity (they even turned away another minor who didn't have a parent's consent). I am not currently in the market for another tattoo, but if I ever get the itch to get another one, I will come check The Tat House first!
