Elite Driving School — Local services in Contiguous United States

I used to take classes at this place and I learned pretty much nothing. the instructors were extremely rude to me while I was driving, and were very distracting and would yell at me for things I had no control over. for example, someone was pulling out of their driveway in a neighborhood, and despite knowing I had the right-of-way, I stopped because I didn’t want the person to hit the car I was driving. the instructor then proceeded to yell at me for not continuing to drive, even though if I had, it would’ve resulted in an accident. I have now had my license for 2 years, and i’ve had to unlearn almost everything they yelled in my ear. the only thing that was actually useful was the parallel parking. only put your kids in this school if you’re willing to listen to them complain about the instructors, as well as to teach them the CORRECT way of driving, because the instructors do not know. (this is not even mentioning how unhelpful the management is)

EDIT: first of all, i’m thankful that the owner replied. however, they said they have “multiple driving instructors available.” when I was there, there were only 2. both of them were equally disrespectful to me. also, they mentioned that it was “important for beginners to know their right-of-way rules.” while I agree, safety is ALWAYS more important than being right. and in the case I mentioned, what my instructor was telling me to do...

Very bad experience. We are appalled by the excessive financial investment and abusive fees we were coerced by Elite to pay. We paid Elite the excessive amount of $150 for a road test that my daughter failed and were told that an additional $150 would be required for a second road test. I now know the Texas Department of Public Safety charges only $11 and allows her THREE opportunities to be tested. We were NOT told there are additional fees if an Emergency Road Test is failed the first time. As of today, we've paid over $700 to Elite and my daughter remains without a driver’s license. We must wait over 30 days to be tested by the DPS office and Elite has not honored their proposed discounting of the $150 road test fee to...

Elite has rejuvenated driver's education! My daughter completed the in-class portion of her course last week and is now in the process of in-car lessons. My kid is so excited to drive, she loved her teacher and absolutely loves the in-car instructors. The way she comes home excited about her lessons and sharing her learned facts and tid-bits with us is AMAZING. This is totally the opposite of my driver's ed experience (many moons ago). Yes, the instructors are strict and stern, but would you want anything less of a DRIVER'S ED instructor? We're definitely satisfied customers. 10/10...
