I have been to many festivals and this is one of the most mismanaged festivals I’ve ever attended. We spent 3 hours waiting in our vehicle to get in to the venue. People were urinating in the middle of the highway. Security made everyone get out of their vehicles in a dust bowl. Then proceeded to wand and search the entire vehicle. After parking we tried to run because we already missed half of one of the shows we were excited for. Then we had to wait in line AGAIN to get into the venue, where we had another security check with wands. They proceeded to dig through my friends purse not once but TWICE and they were so rude. Then after all of that you have to wait in line to buy drink tickets then wait in another separate line to get drinks. To top it off they threw us out of the venue due to a weather warning right before the headliner. They wouldn’t let you get food or drinks. After over an hour and a half of waiting we finally left. We have a bunch of unused drink tickets we paid for. It was such a joke. Do not pay to go to this festival and be abused by the staff and treated...
Read moreThis should be called the Dust Bowl Country Jam. The website had no mention of security checks. We wanted to catch all the bands and spent 1.5 hours in line/security. We barely got to the venue to catch the first act. We could not find anyone to help us locate the daily parking. With the heat, allowing small backpack coolers would have been nice. I saw so many people falling out and I am sure they were not hydrated as the water was $9 and they then wanted a tip. The Thursday line up was the only thing that saved this review from being one star. All the bands Thursday were amazing. Keep an eye out for Mac Hankins and the Moonlighters, they were fire!!! Bayker was a surprise, always love Ole 60 and Treaty Oak. Left a little after Koe started just to avoid the drunks and traffic. To the person complaining about the crowd throwing items, that is a TOR Boomtown happening at all their concerts. We just duck...
Read moreNo where on the website does it say that all vehicles “will be searched” it says “vehicles are subject to search”. It doesn’t say about anything about a $50 dollar fee for registration of a firearm, and that each firearm if you have one in your vehicle. Good thing I was close to a friends house in willow creek to drop mine off. I would’ve hated to have driven from Billings or Helena or somewhere else in Montana to have had to pay a extra $50 fee for just being a regular Montanan, then feel like a criminal and have my vehicle searched like I was crossing the border or living in California. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. They need to have a better explanation of this on their website to let you know your vehicle will be thoroughly searched and a $50 fee will be charged for each firearm declared in your vehicle, and will be searched again after. Montana doesn’t feel like Montana anymore,...
