I discovered this box of gold at our local Costco. While I'm not fond of the crab-on-ice sold at Costco due to their ammoniated smell, these buggers were frozen, which I've always found to be fresher.

Red King Crab Legs & Claws The 10 lb. box featured about 18 fully-cooked legs including two with claws, cradled in heavy duty plastic. I was hesitant about purchasing it due to not having a chest freezer, but the frozen legs were easy to break at the joints and made for easy storage in our regular-sized freezer. We thawed the legs in water before using them in a bouillabaisse and boil. The meat was moist, tasty and didn't have that ammoniated smell! Highly recommended.

I am a regular customer at the Powell location. I so wanted to love the online store as the will call is within tens minutes of our house. Unfortunately the food I received is so much smaller than at the store and the king salmon looks nothing like the picture (small squares not strips)! Lesson...
