The front office employees were very rude, short, and they lie. We had asked for our oven to be lit or fixed so we could use it considering we weren’t notified we couldn’t use it before purchasing our stay and purchasing food for a oven that works. They said they would send someone to fix it then closed the office down and left. The next morning we asked again and we’re met with a new answer that we weren’t allowed to use it, also that previous night we had a paying guest come late. She wasn’t able to obtain the parking pass because of their closure. The same day we returned for the oven assistance we asked for the parking pass later on, the woman answered “where are all the other parking passes we gave you” snidely. We only had two of three parking passes reserved because only two other vehicles were there with one, naturally we were looking to get the third pass. She then remarked “I’m tired of this “ and “you guys have people going in and out of here”. We had one guest come and leave for a fire. And we left to get more groceries once. It was not a great experience and if you actually want more to do than swim in a little pool and get backlash I strongly advise you take your business elsewhere. There are no trails to take your golf cart on that you pay 100$ for two days with. You can’t drive your golf cart at night. There aren’t even walking trails. It’s literally a plot of land to put your RV on behind turkeyville about 200 yards. Lame experience and it’s expensive. But it was at...
Read moreTurkeyville is a great family fun place! It has a mining area and a great pool which features a kiddie splash pool and a pool for the older kids too. They have a farm like area in which there is a climbing tire play thing and some farm animals. As of now they have cows and goats. True to their name they have turkeys too! You may not want to get too close though because they're turkeys! They have four playground areas; One near the middle of the campsite area which is wooden, one near the pool which is smaller and has swings and finally two near the farm areas which are bigger than the other two. They have a very cute gift shop with lots of trinkets and baked goods. They have a ice cream shop in the upper area of the building and in the lower area is the gift shop. Downstairs where the gift shop is they have a penny presser machine and a one man band machine. They also have a train machine which is very fun to watch go round! All of these require some sort of money although I'm not sure what the price is. I do know they are all in one dollar range. The best area in turkeyville is hands down the train! The miniature trains are very fun to ride on and they take you through a very pretty area of the camp. They only come every other weekend though I think. So the week I'm here the trains are not here so I can't include any pictures. I hope that this review will conclude your undecided plans to visit turkeyville! Now get going and go...
Read moreWe were seasonal this past summer. Had a great time. Able to walk up to the barn and see the animals. My grandchildren loved visiting. There is a childrens splash pad and then a deeper pool. Our granddaughter learned how to swim this summer. I'm sure she will remember this campground all her life. We picked this area because we had stayed here before and enjoyed it. There was one difficulty during this stay. We did not know that the community can swim here. There is a fee for this, but we saw people taking advantage of them. By not paying, just sneaking in. The grounds are keep trim and groomed. It is done in such a way you don't realize it's being done. The area has plenty of room for hiking, or flying a kite. There are craft markets on the weekends. Plus the local train company have laid down tracks. You can ride the big train on the weekend. For a small donation. There are wild turkeys that wonder around the barn. Pigs, cows, goats and a donkey. The grandchildren loved being able to touch them. They have a big Halloween time. Hay rides, pumpkins, trick or treat thru...
