If you are considering booking a tandem jump with this place, please listen to everyone else leaving one star reviews.... I am NOT one to ever leave reviews, let alone negative ones! However, I want to stress to others that you should find a different place to skydive. It took me and my friend over TWO YEARS to finally skydive with this facility. I bought my ticket through Groupon, and I wish I never did. I believe our jump got cancelled over 10 times in 2 years... A couple times were even cancelled due to "lack of staffing" or other extraneous circumstances besides the weather. I know no business is perfect, and things come up, but the way they conduct their business is frankly unprofessional and unacceptable. When you call to reschedule, you're lucky if you even get put through with a person after waiting on hold for 10-20 minutes. They make no effort to assist you in rescheduling (in our case, multiple times). They are very difficult to get ahold of, and they have the poorest customer service that I've ever had to deal with. The staff members did not seem bothered that I had to postpone my jump over two years for preventable reasons.
Fast forward to the day we ACTUALLY got to jump: The facility is shabby. The staff members seemed to have a bad attitude. The (separately contracted) instructors were friendly and humorous, but hard to understand. There was VERY little instruction or guidelines given, and no debriefing or safety session whatsoever. The plane took off and the door was still open. The whole process seemed very rushed, and frankly sketchy.
Don't get me wrong, I felt safe enough, and the experience was a blast. Was it worth the two years of hassle to try and make it happen? No way. Buy your skydive ticket...
Read moreThe online and phone customer service was terrible they rescheduled me wrong numerous times. Once they rescheduled me for a date in the past!?? They canceled twice due to weather which was understandable but the customer service for scheduling was a nightmare. They claimed to have called me but I never received the call. I actually caught the error in a confirmation email. At one point I was not on the schedule at all! I mentioned being disappointed with the handling of the bookings and their response was "Stuff happens...we have new people...we are changing systems." No effort was made to make up for it in any way. This was booked as a birthday gift, which ruined the surprise, at one point my husband asked me to just go with another company but I decided to give them a 2nd chance. And we only finally got to experience it almost a month and a half later. We are traveling from another country. We were not offered any discounts or compensation for the trouble they put us through. I believe the location probably doesn't handle their scheduling, calls or online appointments because the personnel at the actual location were like night and day. The receptionist and the instructors on site were fantastic! Miranda is THE best, he even taught me some fun maneuvers!! All the stars go to them. Read moreSecond Review We finally got a good weather Saturday and I got to jump. It was great! My teacher was Patrick and he was great. He let me call the shots as far as whether we should loop around on the way down or just glide and enjoy the view. I would go again in a heart beat. The whole experience was fun and they helped to keep my anxiety at bay by their patience and humor. I say, Go for it!
First Review I'm not sure how to rate it because I haven't jumped yet. I bought a voucher through Living Social last winter. My first scheduled jump was for May 14 but it got canceled due to weather. I was scheduled again for July 9 but it got canceled due to weather. My next attempt was for August 28 but at 12:20 they called to tell me that the jump was canceled. I was already in Fowlerville so I went to check out the airport. I am rescheduled for Oct. 8. That was soonest they could get me on a weekend because I work full time during the week. The phone workers are all very nice and are getting to know me. I know that certain cloud conditions must be met for first time jumpers and that Michigan is difficult weather-wise so I am not upset.
