ATTENTION ALL INNOCENT RESIDENTS OF THE AREA AND POTENTIAL STUDENTS: THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL BUT A SCHOOL THAT MASKS A BIG CORPORATION DETERMINED TO FEED ON THE WALLETS AND FINANCES OF YOUNG INNOCENT PEOPLE!! Yes they make it sound really good like waking up to the sound of mama or granny making a good ole country breakfast but in reality that "breakfast sound" is really rotten eggs and burned toast. Oh they tell you that some of your credits earned will transfer to a bigger college or university but in actuality THEY WONT simply due to the fact of....drum roll please....THEY ARE NOT REGIONALLY ACCREDITED ONLY NATIONALLY ACCREDITED!!! I was in the Medical Assisting program and I made it to clinicals but I injured myself in my personal time! I was forced to come back for 6 weeks of "remediation" to relearn my skills...so with no attendance requirements or even an official grading policy for me I only went when I felt the need to go, but then guess what?! PLOT TWIST I WAS TOLD I HAD TO COME BACK FOR ANOTHER 6 weeks of again "remediation". I did a little research about the area and other programs offered at different schools and everything that comes with basic research of that nature and found out....GET THIS I COULD HAVE BEEN AN ACTUAL NURSE FOR CHEAPER AND GOTTEN PAID BETTER STARTING OUT AND MORE RESPECT!!! SO PARDON MY LANGUAGE HERE BUT THESE "EDUCATORS" aren't worth more than my dogs feces that has been sitting in cold wet weather...
Read moreDuring my 6 months in the CDL Training Program, I've learned everything PLUS MORE, that there is to know about truck driving. Half of the stuff that I learned in the CDL Program, I took the information to drivers who have been on the road for 5 years or more and 90% of those drivers did not know what I was talking about, until months on down the road when their companies explained it to them. I had one of THE BEST truck driver instructors EVER!! Mr Shannon Copeland!! He made sure that we did not leave that class every afternoon confused on certain subjects that we may have needed improvement in. My advice to those who are looking to get there CDL, without all the lies and catches behind being a licensed CMV driver, go to Fortis Institute. It's a 6 month program but trust me, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! I now drive for Averitt Express and everything I learned at Fortis from the bookwork, to the backing maneuvers and on-the-road training, IT ALL PAID OFF!! I was #1 out of 6 new Averitt truck drivers to finish training and Finish School with flying colors. One thing I will say about this program..........IF I COULD DO IT ALL AGAIN, I WOULD!!! Thank you Shannon and Fortis crew for helping me...

I can confidently say that the facility at this institution are here for you and want you to succeed in all your hopes and dreams. These lovey people have helped shape me not only academically but as a person. The teachers are passionate and dedicated in every step of the journey. This school constantly finds ways to improve and also ask for our input. These professors have an open door policy and will listen to anything you have to say at anytime if they are available.
