I am on less than a shoestring budget, currently. PRODUCE IN THE USA IS CONSTANTLY FLUCTUATING FLOW. based on what the growers have had to work with or through. So of course, prices may follow that fluctuating trend. AND STILL, PRODUCE IS ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL HERE.
At Shope's IGA, I can still choose Really Good Produce in the reduced baskets... And LOTS of different fruits and veggies too!
Now when it comes to meats, I have been Known to enter stores, and leave without them if it just isn't feasible to buy. NEVER THO, have I walked out of Shope's IGA WITHOUT my meats.
That's because with: Regular sales, Lots of cuts, Wide selection of Choice Meats, Seasoned Selections even, DATES are AlWays IMPECCABLE, Presentation AlWays BEAUTIFUL, CLEANEST SMELL ANYWHERE,
Oddly I OneLy purchase meats in a store where I like the upkeep on the restroom area.
I GOTTA SAY THIS IS THE BEST KEPT PUBLIC RESTROOM IN COOLIDGE!
BE IT EVER AS HUMBLE, STILL THE ONE DOOR FOR GUYS THE OTHER DOOR FOR GALS.
(You are having a private moment. You really don't even WANT to be in a multi-user stall but You know how most times its scary when there's just the one seat in each separate Restroom -Because You never Know.. You Know?)
We'll, Buster NOT HERE. .. not this potty! I'd put my GrandKids on it. That says SomeThing.
YOU ALWAYS KNOW
HOMETOWN PRIDE ALWAYS SHOWS
EACH ISLE IS WELL MAINTAINED.
EVERY ITEM REGULARLY RESTOCKED.
WE ALL LOVE THE FAMILY FORMAT IN WHICH LUZ AND TOM OPERATE.
WE ALSO LOVE THAT THE CHECKERS AND BAGGERS ARE SO HELPFUL, COURTEOUS, CONSIDERATE, GENUINE, AND EFFICIENT.
(YEAH.. THEY BAG YOUR GROCERIES FOR YOU, TOO! STILL!)
LEMME SEE.. PARKING LOT IS ALWAYS SAFE AND CLEAR FROM DEBRIS, DAMAGE, RISK, OR DANGER.
EXCELLENT USE OF FRONT HANDICAP PARKING SPACES.
i really enjoy myself every time I shop at Shope's IGA. And I...
Read moreShoppes Grocery Store in Cooliage is the quintessential "mom and pop" operation, and it wears that label with a certain charm. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time, and while the store might have a slightly dated aesthetic, that's part of its unique appeal. It exudes a genuine local vibe that's increasingly rare to find. While the prices aren't consistently the most competitive, there are definitely some deals to be had if you keep an eye out. What truly stands out is the atmosphere and the friendly folks who work there. The store is clean and the staff are genuinely nice, which contributes significantly to the overall positive feeling. I've heard whispers that their deli might be a hidden gem, though I haven't had the chance to try it yet. It's definitely on my radar for a future visit. While I'm not sure I'd make a special trip to Shoppes Grocery Store just for a regular grocery run, they do carry a specific type of sausage that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. That alone guarantees a return visit for me. If I happened to live closer, I could definitely see myself becoming a more regular shopper, drawn in by the local charm and those unique finds. If you're in Coolidge and appreciate supporting a local business with a nostalgic feel and the potential for some unique items (like those elusive sausages!), then Shoppes Grocery Store is worth a visit. It's not your typical big-chain experience, and that's precisely what...
Read moreShope's Market has been a Coolidge landmark for over 75 years. After humble beginnings from the first location at Elm and Main street to the purchase of the former Starns Market in the corner of Arizona Boulevard and Dewey Avenue. Which started as a tiny store but after a lot of hard work, wise buiness decions and multiple remodels the store quadrupled the size of the structure, not to mention the dedication of the entire Shope family, Shope's Market outgrew the confines of this structure. The Shope Family purchased the 3 acres adjacent to the south and built the large modern store most residents of Coolidge recognize as Shope's IGA. Sadly this is where the Shope Family tradition with serving the Coolidge community for over seven decades will end. There never be will a second store or a new location. Shope's IGA has changed ownership. Hopefully the new ownership will carry-on the Shope Family dedication to bring the very best hometown grocery shopping experiences most of us have grown to expect. That bar set high, by generations of lifelong grocers, will be difficult if not impossible for to reach. Best of luck to the Shope Family and thank you for being the best hometown Market this town...
