Love Delano Farms. When the house is open, it is a neat place to visit. The animals are nice. There are trails here. One connects to the main part of the Kalamazoo Nature Center through a tunnel that runs under Westnedge. The Source Pond trail is easy. A great hike for families. The Source Pond is nice. You can see snapping turtles in the water and an occasional snake near the trails. Good trails for running as we have seen people running on the trail during our visits here.    Read moreThis is where history and nature collide! Tour the historic DeLano Farm property, walk the trails, see the farm animals, buy fresh produce at the Market Barn, what can't you do here? Me and the fam went during the Maple Sugar Festival and got to see a blacksmith wield his craft, ride a horse-drawn wagon, watch ladies spin fur into yarn, and learn about living in the pioneer days.
