Coquille Supply Inc — Local services in Coos Bay

As I am new to the area I am paying close attention to my options for goods and services in a much smaller community than where I came from. That being said this place is located on the right hand side of hwy 42 as you head south leaving the downtown area of Coquille. High visibility as you approach insures that you don't pass it by and the parking has not been an issue for me as of yet. The staff is always friendly and attentive to their customer's needs. They have a smaller selection of items than some places but typically you can find what you came for at a reasonable price. Which brings me to the reason for a 4-star rating. I am left scratching my head as it appears that there is no advertising circular because nothing seems to ever be on sale which tells me that they are ok with the pricing they offer. That's fine I guess but I can see that I probably won't be buying any big ticket items such as power tools because I would never spend full retail for those items when I know that other stores offer up to nearly a $100.00 advertised discount on those same items on a regular basis. I don't know about you but to drive another 15 minutes or so to save that kind of money makes it well worth my time and gas both in my opinion. Saled pricing will change my rating to 5-stars but in a small town like this with only a couple of other stores to choose from I'm sure they aren't in any hurry to cut into their profits. I get that the dollar is what drives corporate America but in a smaller population that has one of the nation's top unemployment per capita which lends to the depressed economy here I would hope that as locals themselves they could help out the community by helping the few dollars available stretch a little bit farther. Especially during these unprecedented hard times we are in because of global pandemic shutdown. I pull in at 6:47 already mad just knowing they don’t open till 7. I open my door and my seatbelt wasn’t even off and a voice said good morning. The guy was toting stuff out setting up for the day. How can I help you ? … before my foot hit the ground . I mumbled Lawm Mower blades (like Billy Bob Thornton) he said follow her . I did. Expecting to not find what I wanted. She said you know what you need . I growled Husky 42”. Right here. Shocked they had them stoked that they had “the good ones”. I went back to the gentleman to pay. As she was following me I said please pet my dog he doesn’t get to see people. She did and he was sure glad to see her as glad as I was to be getting these blades. Paid for and out the door in 3 minutes. Part two.Next Day I broke my 7 pound hickory handled splitting axe I’ve had for 30 years. Again I show up 20 minutes early and I run in and … sadly I was disappointed. They only had this black plastic thing. I bought it. Same nice guy as yesterday. Same super fast in and out in under 3 minutes. The review. This thing is a weapon. I feel like a dummy for you using my old one. I like this store. Wow! What an amazing experience at the Coquille Supply Hardware & Garden Center. I visited this past Sunday during their annual customer appreciation event, and it was absolutely phenomenal. I had such a great time! They offered delicious food, hosted a raffle, and had a variety of vendors present. It was incredibly fun.

This store is fantastic, with an impressive selection of hardware-related items. Their greenhouse area was filled with a wide variety of plants, and the garden center was just perfect. The staff was friendly, the store was well-merchandised, easy to navigate, and well-organized.
