this WAS my favorite golf course! my buddy and I have been golfing here. weekly for the past two seasons. however after today I think we will be going back to vintage and riverwood, (for the record the only reason we stopped going there was because I moved.) they at least have common respect for people with disabilities
I'm a disabled vet, I was medically retired after 4 years in the Marines. golf is one of the few sports I'm still able to do and enjoy.
today is mother's Day, I just lost my Mom 2 weeks ago and I was looking forward to a nice relaxing round of golf with my Buddy.
halfway through the third hole a gentleman on a red golf cart came over to us and said (with an attitude from the start) "you guys are playing too slow and we needed to speed up." I told him I was going as fast as i could, but will try my best to go faster.
on the first hole 2 groups play through us, we have always been very friendly and considerate the groups around us. we've never had a group complain. we always try to get out of their way before they get to us, or tell them that they can play through before they catch up to us.
after the first hole, at no point did the group behind us catch up. We were very diligent to watch and see if the group behind us was catching up. at no point were they waiting on us
two holes later, the gentleman on the red cart returned and told us again "you guys are going too slow and need to speed up". again I told him I was going as fast as I could, and I will try and go as fast as I can. then he says " I think you can go faster! if I have to come back again, I'm going to make you skip a hole."
again I told him I was going as fast as I could and I will try my best to speed it up.
after the first time he came over I was a little irritated because of the way he approached usright from the beginning. but I tried my best to put it out of my mind.
after the second time, I was extremely frustrated, I could not hit the ball without thinking about how rude this gentleman was. and it looked like he was just as rude to the group behind us.
he completely ruined our round. we ended up skipping the last two holes because we were so frustrated with how this gentleman was treating their us and other golfers.
my buddy and I are typically pretty laid back and don't complain about much. check my reviews, I generally don't write reviews, unless someone has gone above and beyond their role. or if the experience was bad enough to where I felt the need to warn others.
if any of you have a similar experience, please share!,

Read moreDon't Go! Waste of time and money. The Ranger needs to work on his social skills and realize that without customers, they would not be there. I asked for a 5:00 and was told that I couldn't get the twilight rate unless I moved it to the 5:30, when their twilight starts. I went with 5:30. We arrived at 4:45 and hung out in the clubhouse. Most food was a microwaved, gross. As we waited a group of 2 asked to play twilight and the female associate said, " it's 5:00, your close enough to get the rate." When we were up for our tee time two other groups said they were told to join another group but didn't know which one. I went inside and asked why were told to partner up with another group of two, as well as who was next as there were several people waiting now. The female associate and eventually the Ranger, stated "this is what we do, we are not a country club". I am not a pro, I play for fun and to enjoy the experience. I have never been to a country club and have never been partnered up with others either. I asked to keep it to my husband and I as I would like to have a date night without strangers. Again, "we have to put people together so we fill spots. Otherwise we would be behind in tee times." They had so many people jammed in to play that we waited to tee off, then we waited to make a second hit, and again wait for the green. The whole course is so trampled on it's like concrete. With the jammed course we got 13 holes played before we lost the light outside. ...
Read moreWe had two tee times of mid twenty adults and some had the PCC membership and a few did not and paid full weekend rate, everyone paid to have a cart. The staff was rude and obviously didn't know how to work the system as the two workers couldn't figure out how to run a credit card. When we were teeing off we were told to keep the carts on the path... one of carts in our group had 1 tire in the grass. I asked if they had signs on the course for carts to go to the path and was told, "37 feet as that is common knowledge." Note that the back of the score card did notify it was 30 feet. Clearly we were targets as no one under 39 was on the course. I was going to have a good time and buy some beers and enjoy the day, but with the unreal customer service I saved my money.
The course. It was green and that is the last positive thing I can say. Blind greens with 5' hole flags, one of the flags was broken and the number flag fell off. The only maintained sand trap was out of play. The fairways had no distinctions of rough or second cut. Cart paths were rutted. Pace of play was horrible, the Ranger talked to us one time to tell us that no gaps existed. We were right on the heels of the group in front of us and still managed to keep up and in most cases waiting on a 4 some playing from the tips with 5 people in our group as a few could only play nine hole.
Next time I will spend my money at a course with a simple greeting of hello...
