I ordered a custom-made birdhouse from Bird Your House as a birthday gift for my husband, modeled after our very first home together—the one we poured our blood, sweat, and tears into to make truly ours. From the very beginning, Matthew and Hannah were amazing to work with. They were upfront about the timeline, provided fair and transparent pricing, and consistently communicated throughout the process.

They sent updates and photos as the birdhouse came together, and I always felt in the loop. Expectations were clearly set and fully met. But the real magic was in the final product. When my husband opened the gift, he was completely stunned—emotionally touched and deeply impressed. He immediately started reminiscing about our old home and all the memories we created there.

I worked with Matthew Dec ‘22 / Jan ‘23 to have him build a birdhouse replica of my grandparents house - a 3-story Mission/Craftsmen style home.

Matthew was upfront on pricing options, helpful and communicative throughout the entire process, even over the busy holiday season. Somehow he finished the project in what felt like a matter of weeks and shared photos through the build to show progress!

Look, honestly I always thought my grandmother liked me but this surprise present made her love me. When this showed up on her doorstep in a matter of days, I got the nicest voicemail I’ve ever received from her and I think I might have heard tears in her voice!!! Our experience with Bird Your House was exceptional. Matthew was responsive to all of our questions. A little backstory. My parents summer a a cabin on a lake in Minnesota. We have gone there since I was young. My parents just had their 60th anniversary. It’s so had to buy a gift for them. They only have a few more years to be able to go to their beloved cabin. We sent photos to Matthew and he did preliminary drawings. He stayed in contact throughout the process with updates. The finished product was amazing accurate. My parents were shocked at the accuracy and details. At this point, they are considering keeping it inside as a reminder of the cabin they love when they can no longer spend summers there.
