Shelton Fireworks — Local services in Covington

This location has a lot off stock by sheer volume, but not actually much variety in terms of brands and selection. The bulk of the floorspace is dedicated to having heavy quantities of back stock for what items they do have. Major quality brands are totally absent. If you reduced each unique item to only a case or so of each, you'd not actually have much more selection than you would at a traveling firework tent, but unlike that tent, you're limited to just a few brands product lines.

But fair enough, this is perhaps a place contracted with a few distributers, and with all that extreme per-item back stock, focused on bulk selling right? Strangely it didn't seem so. I asked what their case rate was for a particular item, and they looked at me like I was growing another head. I've seen other reviewers indicate they got discounts for large purchases, and frankly I've never encountered a firework retailer that didn't. But, at least on the day I went by, these guys claimed they don't, and made ME feel weird for asking. I'm the sort that will easily spend several hundred on stock just because it happened to be on my way and I had room while on a roadtrip. Instead, these guys got nothing, and, come serious firework buying season, they won't be on my list of places to go out...

My fiancé and I always make sure we set time aside to drive to this place whenever we are on the east coast no matter how long the drive is. We have been here multiple times and they truly do have the best prices around! Today was a different story. We always buy a bulk amount of fireworks due to living in a different state which doesn’t allow these types of fireworks. We go to check out and are told a price that was unbelievable. We knew we were going to be spending quite a few. Fortunately the ladies checking us out, let us re-ring the items so we can see which ones were worth keeping or getting rid of. Turns out it was high because there were mis-marked items that they had out on the floor but were ringing up double in price. It wasn’t like it was just one, the whole section had that price. I’m guessing one of the ladies checking us out was some short of management because she told us these boxes were no way of the price it showed on the box and did not offer to sell us for that price, which is ridiculous due to the amount of boxes that had that price. Instead, she gave us a “free” box of sparklers. Moral of the story, if you decide to come here make sure they are ringing you up right and pay attention to the price on the boxes because apparently they aren’t. Very...

Really enjoyed the selection, it is a huge warehouse filled with such a wide variety. You can really put on a decent show for less going to this location. The owners were very knowledgeable and very pleasing to work with.

The sections were very neat and easy to find what you were looking for, from sparklers to 3 burst mortars and everything in between. It was almost overwhelming the options they have. I was told by december its on the lite side of stock, but there was still tons of stock!

Im used to dealing with much smaller venders and Ive never came across something this large and friendly. Ive been to all the backwood places across the country (most not being friendly because your not a familar face I guess) but I have found the annual stable. I will recommend this to anyone who likes to pop off...
