Home and neighbors Two words, more meaningful than ever in the midst of a pandemic. I had been looking for a house too rent for a couple of months. I wanted a place with 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms, & 2 bedrooms. I also needed a place wheelchair accessible. My roommate is 76, a Vietnam Navy pilot, & disabled wheelchair bound. We just had a hard couple of years with my roommates health & were now ready too just enjoy life again. I wanted something nice for my friend so he could enjoy each day. It was difficult too find anything I liked & met our needs. Every place would need modifications for the wheelchair or just wouldn't work because of the floor plan. Most places had steps & porches. Then I came across Cresson Pods. I got too meet the gentleman who built the homes. He said he built them so they could be nice homes @ a nice affordable price. He also said they were very energy-efficient. He should be proud of such an accomplishment, cause that's exactly what he has done. Our home was new. I think it was the best deal I had found on the market. We really love the quality of our home. & the electric bill is the lowest ever. Around $130 a month. He was very helpful having a ramp install @ the doorway & we had the door frame removed in the bathroom so the wheelchair could access. He was very helpful. We loved our home day one & every day thank God for blessing us with our home. Shortly after moving in the pandemic hit. So our home became our sanctuary. We are sheltered in place & my roommate is safe & secure. Our home has let my roommate thrive, not just survive in this pandemic & I'm so grateful too see that for my roommate in these troublesome times. Our neighbors are awesome. Everyone is so nice. They are kind, respectful, helpful & even protective. We can socialize safely so we don't have to be isolated even though we are sheltered in place. Everyone waves @ each other. It's nice & friendly & see it as just...
Read moreWe haven't been in our house very long, but so far we love it. The only two downsides of "pod" life is that you can tell the builders were in a hurry to throw up the houses as quickly as possible (uneven floor tiles, poorly patched "cover ups" and paint on the tile floor - none of which are so horrible that it makes the house any less beautiful than expected) and there is virtually no storage space. There isn't a hall closet, only one small under the sink cabinet in the bathrooms and the closet in the 3rd bed is an actual joke. It's a weird corner closet that you can't fit anything in. However, the staff has been absolutely wonderful (there was some initial concern because we couldn't get anyone to answer our calls or return messages, but then realized these poor girls were just super busy leasing homes). They are friendly and have offered a wealth of knowledge to us being new in this area. We love the little street we are on and there are tons of kiddos that instantly greeted us (even helped unload the uhaul) and became instant friends with our kid crew. It's a fabulous and i do mean FABULOUS little family podivision and even with the little things I wish I could change - I would highly recommend these houses to...
Read moreI forgot the office phone number and reviews got me side tracked. I've been here for a couple years. Everyone in my house are hermits. We work, we come back to a nice home and relax. Quiet nights are amazing! A few things I've noticed (none from anyone I've seen in the review section), are that tenants who block driveways, are loud, rude to neighbors, let their trash go everywhere, don't clean up after pets, etc; do not last long at all.
I couldn't be more appreciative that the current management has little to no tolerance for disrespect in our community. It makes this a quiet, clean, respectful little community and a relaxing environment when just trying to enjoy what time I have off off at home. I've noticed it became much cleaner and quieter with the new management.
There are community events which all residents are invited to such as, drive in movies, food drives, house necessity donations, clothing donations, ice cream, bbqs, etc.
If there is any suggestion I would have, it would be a little bridge at each entry/exit point for those who go for walks and kids waiting for the school bus :)
Hope this review helps anyone looking for a quiet...
