Beware of the membership. I had gotten a membership. Under the understanding I could cancel that membership. I have tried to cancel my membership several times. Only to be told I have to buy out or be permanently disabled. We'll that's nice. I got hurt shortly after I got my membership. I havnt even been able to use it at all. I work for myself, and do to the injury which has evolved me into a wheel chair, has been a huge financial burden 6months later. I will be going back to work. But the greed to continually milk me for money instead of putting that in my gas tank or my house payment, or electric bill is demanded by them. I'm sure midwest will hide behind the fact that the membership is a third party deal. As they have already, crappy excuse because in the end they are the ones still taking my money. And no sleep lost on there part. Well since they want to be the wal mart of guns that's great. I won't buy nothing else from. Midwest again. Sad because I have supported them in the past. But since they can't have compassion for there fellow human being then I won't support them. I understand it's a business. But it's my money I work or as of late been selling my things to stay a float. Also it would be great if they understood there own membership. However the company they use is vultures and I'm about to get a lawyer. I'm done being a nice guy. I never even got to use it. That's the sad thing, yes getting hurt is on me (not on purpose) but if they desperately need my money every month! I don't desperately need...
Read moreI (44F) Stopped in yesterday with my daughter (23F) And her husband (23M). We had an absolutely amazing time. Brad helped so much. He showed us the range and let us shoot and try out several pistols that we normally might not have tried. He stayed with us the whole two hours we were on the range and helped us with technique. I'm coming in next week to put one of the guns I tried out on layaway! He really has a passion for shooting and was very low pressure. I did end up getting a membership, and so did my son in law. If you just go once a month, it definitely pays for itself. Everyone we encountered was friendly. The range and shop we're clean, an organized and bright and welcoming. They did offer us a free training consultation. I plan to take them up on it once I've established what i'm looking for out of training. The environment is very casual and laid back. I was not treated poorly for being a woman... which I have encountered quite often at other shops. You can tell that everyone has a passion for shooting and helping you learn. Maybe you do need a thicker skin than some people have to hang out at the range, filled with police and military veterans. I can take the good natured ribbing for owning Glocks 🤣. Overall, my experience was a ten out of ten. I did join and I will continue with frequent visits to...
Read moreWhile the instruction is informative, one needs to carefully inspect what one is going to buy before buying it. Just because you use a firearm in the range, and the staff tells you that they have one like it to sell you, you cannot trust their word. I was not shown what I was sold, but it was to be like what I had used in the range. Being very new to this field, I did not realize that the brand came with a variety of options, and the one I purchased was NOT identical in features to what I used in the range. Regardless of their error in not showing me exactly what I was purchasing, they would not exchange, refund, return, or even offer store credit. The experience certainly leaves a bitter feeling of being taken advantage of and not wanting much to do with the business or "sport" in the future. Unfortunately, like most businesses, this is one that values a sale (money) over the customer, service to that customer, or a future relationship with that customer or his/her friends and family. It is a very short-sighted way to...
