** Update** it’s worth mentioning Elvis, not Costello played here in 1955! Did you know that? No. That’s why I’m here. The words to describe this place haven’t been invented yet but I’ll try. Desolate, inspiring, lonely and majestic. This is a part of Texas EVERYONE should see. You have the deserts of Texas, this is the jungle of Texas. They also have camp sites, party rentals, ATV rentals, kayak rentals, Jet Ski rentals. What else ya want. Peaceful riverside camping , exploring, the fishing is great. Marina down the road has fantastic food and fun. If you haven’t been here, get here. I posted some pics. But trust me. I cannot capture this. Tijuana music with a beach vibe and access to anywhere you want to go and this is winter time. Better reserve a spot. It gets crowded. I’ve been all over the world and this is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. You can’t say you’ve been everywhere unless you’ve been here. Reserve a spot or ski for summer.

Great place. Very helpful and staff is great. Don't let the entrance scare you off lol I almost turned around but I'm glad I didn't

NOT SAFE DUE TO THE PARKING

This place used to be soo much fun, but now that more people know about it, it's not. They do have security, but they dont count how many cars come into the area. Which is not good for holiday weekends like the 4th of July....it is very unsafe.

For example we got there at 8 am, by 11 it was super packed when we tried to leave around 4 we could not leave! People parked all in the road and blocked cars in. There were many unsupervised children and had someone drowned or got hurt, no Emergency vehicle could get through because the parking is horrible and not organized. I parked in the grass by the road thinking that no one would park behind me in the road. I should be able to back into the road and drive away, but I kid you not, 5 cars parked behind me blocking me in and I had to wait 30 more minutes to leave. Security really does nothing with the traffic jam and people just really don't care. I watched a truck back straight into someone's car. I wouldn't recommend coming here because...

Nice place to enjoy outdoor activities. Entrance is $10 per person (less for children), parking is free, Pets are not allowed, nor glass containers. You can bring alcoholic beverages , BBQ, tents, and umbrellas and have lots of fun with friends and family....
